Ian is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is one of the passengers that survives the plane crash of Flight 462.

Nothing is known about Ian's life prior to the outbreak, except that he was a passenger on Flight 462 destined for Phoenix, Arizona.
Post-Apocalypse[]

"Ouroboros"[]
Ian is one of several passengers to have survived the plane crash in the ocean. He is able to make it onto a lifeboat with Tom and Michael. After Alex and Jake are brought on board, Ian is pulled off the boat by a submerged zombie but makes it back on board. However, it is revealed he was bitten on the ankle during the scuffle, prompting Tom to smack Ian in the head, killing him. His body is then tossed in the ocean.

After finding out that Ian was bitten trying to get onto the liferaft, Tom mercilessly picks up a boat oar and strikes Ian in the head, killing him and destroying his brain. His body is later dumped into the ocean.
