Issue 17 is the seventeenth issue of The Walking Dead: The Official Magazine. The 100 page issue was released on July 12, 2016. This issue also has a variant cover illustrated by Charlie Adlard.

The Secret Diary of a Walker[]
Story[]
A Walker is in a heard when he notices a few other "Walkers" who are able to form words and carry knives. The Walker tries to interact with these new "Walkers", who they call friends, but isn't able to do much past the usual groans. After a few days, he begins to suspect that the new "Walkers" are actually "Normies" in disguise. One of these new "Walkers" begins to attack the Walker for his face.
