Issue 9 is the ninth issue of Image Comics' The Walking Dead: Small Bites, featured exclusively in the Deluxe edition of Issue 78. It was released on December 6, 2023.
Plot Synopsis[]
As Father Gabriel gives a eulogy for Pete, Scott, and Regina, Rick interrupts as gunfire is heard and he gathers up members of the community to fend off the attackers. They open fire on the Scavengers who attempt to flee. Afterwards, they go back to the funeral as Carl, John, and Steven roast marshmallows over the Scavengers' burning corpses.
