James Barker is an American actor who portrayed one of the walkers in AMC's The Walking Dead.

How did you get a role on The Walking Dead?
well...i got started in acting back in June of last year. i did a few background gigs. i landed this one commercial for TAPCO where i was a zombie. the Assistant Director gave me info to submit to TWD. so i submitted my pic from the commercial and they called me the next day. while waiting in line for them to pick who was going to be where and what type of "walker", the head of make up and the AD picked me to be a "HERO WALKER".
Did you read the graphic novel prior to getting a role in the show? If so, do you have a favorite character?
No i didn't read the novel. but my favorite has to be "THE WALKERS" hehe
What are some of the walkers you portrayed?
I was in Season 3 Episode 15. The Governor had 2 kills that episode and if you know the big one. I was the walker he killed. I was also in episode 16 too in the prison yard when the governor came in to shoot up the place.
Do you have any interesting or funny stories to tell that occurred in the process of filming the show?
A few without spilling secrets. One that stands out is while shooting the blowing up of the towers. Me and 3 other walkers turn to watch the tower go up when it went "BOOM!!!" On 15 me and another walker were practicing for the shot and we started to laugh and from the building i hear Greg yell "STOP LAUGHING!"
Did you enjoy being on the show?
Oh YES i did! I love being on that show the crew and cast where great, they are like a big family.
Are you currently working on any other projects?
I am off and on sets. me resent one is ABC "Resurrection" it will be out in March of next year. One of the big movies i worked on is coming out this November, 22 Hunger Games 2 Catching fire.
