The Fall of the Governor - Part Two[]
"Doomsday Clock"[]
Jim takes part in the prison assault. He survives the first attack and retreats along with the rest of the militia. The Governor orders Raymond Hilliard to pick a small group to scout the perimeter of the prison overnight and look for any weak spots in their compound as well as suspicious movement. Jim is picked for this team along with Daniel, Eric, Gloria Pyne and Gabriel Harris.
At precisely 6:17 P.M. eastern standard time, two residents of the prison slip into the trees unnoticed by the militia while Raymond's scouting party still discuss what weapons to bring along, how much ammo, and what supplies. Ray tells Jim to leave his backpack at the camp but Jim thinks he's talking about his small stainless steel flask full of cheap whiskey. He leaves his backpack and the party travels light bringing only enough to defend themselves. Less than five hundred yards from the clearing Jim realizes he has to pee after forgetting to do so in camp but doesn't say anything at first. He excuses himself from the group for a minute and goes alone into a clearing to relieve himself.
