Jan is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead: World Beyond. She is a resident of the Campus Colony of Omaha, one of three cities part of the Alliance of the Three.

Due to statistics stating that the community would be a drain on their resources, Elizabeth's superiors ordered an attack on Campus Colony and the complete extermination of its inhabitants. They bombed the safe-zone with chlorine bombs and then allowed the safe-zone to be overrun by the undead and shot any survivors afterwards.
