Jason Ornell. Madgeburg.
―Jason stating his name and town.[src]

Jason Ornell is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City. He is a resident of Madgeburg, which is part of the New Babylon Federation.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Jason's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse[]

New Babylon, Virginia[]

At some point after the outbreak, Jason came into contact with the New Babylon Federation, which he subsequently joined.

Season 2[]

"Power Equals Power"[]

Jason is dragged behind a truck in the New Babylon Army convoy to the Bricks. When the crowd clearly isn't interested in their pitch, the soldiers bring forth their prisoner and Maggie sends Hershel and Ginny back inside. Jason identifies himself as Jason Ornell from Madgeburg whose crime is, as explained by Major Lucia Narvaez, choosing to shamefully flee rather than face conscription and he was caught in the forest. Code 52, Section 8 decrees that "refusal or evasion of registration into the armed forces of the New Babylon Federation shall be punishable by public execution." In front of the horrified crowd, the soldiers hang Jason to death. Maggie is visibly furious by the display while Perlie is upset as well.

When the convoy leaves, a zombified Jason is still hanging where he died. It is presumed he was put down by the Bricks residents after the Federation convoy left.

Death[]

Killed By

On the orders of Lucia, the New Babylon soldiers hang Jason for the crime of choosing to flee rather than face conscription into the New Babylon Army. He subsequently reanimates.

After the Federation convoy leaves, Jason is presumably put down by the residents of the Bricks.

Killed Victims[]

This list shows the victims Jason has killed:

  • Himself (Caused)
  • Numerous counts of zombies and possibly unnamed people
