The Prison Community's Jeep Wrangler is a compact four-wheel drive off-road and sport utility vehicle (SUV), manufactured by American automaker Chrysler, under its Jeep marque. The prison community was in possession of a 1987-1991 Jeep Wrangler, prior to its downfall.

Background[]

It was one of the vehicles that took part in the prison assault by the Woodbury Army. Later, it was abandoned on the road after the Governor slaughters his men in "Welcome to the Tombs". It was then taken by the prison group and, months later, was used to draw walkers away from the fence using the pigs as bait. After a large group of walkers broke into the prison, Rick used its headlights to illuminate the incoming horde and make them easier to spot and kill. The next day, Michonne and Hershel Greene took the Wrangler to move the dead bodies out of the prison following the casualties from the flu epidemic. It was left abandoned in the woods after the Governor captured them.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 3[]

"Welcome to the Tombs"[]

The Jeep was driven to the prison by a member of the Woodbury Army and driven away when the army fled. The Governor made its driver pull over as he drove it back and killed him along with the others. Rick, Michonne, and Daryl later came upon it when they followed the army's retreat.

Season 4[]

"Infected"[]

When the walkers were threatening to push the outermost fence down, Rick and Daryl used the Jeep to lure them away with the piglets. Rick originally told Daryl to get the truck, but they ended up using the Jeep and the trailer attached to it instead. Daryl drove and Rick rode on the trailer with the five piglets.

"Internment"[]

After things began to calm at the prison, Michonne and Hershel took the Jeep with its attached trailer and used it to haul away the corpses of walkers killed the previous night, with Michonne driving.
