Almost nothing is known about Joe Jr.'s life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he ran a BBQ restaurant with his father.

Some time after the outbreak began, Joe Jr.'s father turned into a zombie. His undead father was left behind a barricade and Joe Jr. left a note asking someone to "do what he couldn't do", in other words he was asking someone to put down his undead father.
The fate and location of Joe Jr. remains unknown as the state of Georgia was ravaged in the outbreak.
