"After"[]
Joe Sr. is found behind a barricade in his restaurant where he had reanimated. A note is found on a table near the barricade and the note says, "Please do what I couldn't", signed by his son Joe Jr., meaning he was asking for someone to put his father down, as he couldn't do it himself. Rick attempts to kill him with his hatchet, but it gets stuck in his head. He tries to prevent Carl from using his gun, but Carl does so anyway and kills Joe Sr. This angers Rick, who says that he could have needed that bullet in the future.
