John Stack is a survivor of the outbreak in Thomas Dunne Books' Novel Series. He is the husband of Jennifer and father of Kourtney and Kayla. John is described to be a haggard, scrawny man who kept his family alive for a long period of a time by sheer stubbornness.

John was a former insurance agent from Dothan, living there with his family. He was married to Jennifer Stack for 21 years.

John survived with his family for four years until being captured by Spencer-Lee Dryden.
