Johnny Pruitt is a character that appears in The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury. He is described as a fat, doughy pothead.
Almost nothing is known about Johnny's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he hailed from Jonesboro, Georgia.
One day in Woodbury, he criticized the Augusta State Jaguar's football team, the team from the city in which Dean Gorman is originally from. This angered Dean and a fight ensued. Martínez arrived and tried to stop it, but they wouldn't listen. Dean was winning in the beginning of the fight, jamming his steel toed boots into Johnny's sides. He gained the upper hand when he kneed Dean in the groin. He then continued to punch him in the face multiple times. Martinez once again tries to interrupt it, but Brian, seeing how the crowd was entertained by the fight, tells him to wait. By this time, Johnny had started to strangle Dean and wouldn't let go. This made the crowd of bystanders very excited. Dean's eyes soon begin to roll back in his head and he collapsed. The Governor then tells Martinez to break it up and he does. Martinez later tells Brian that Dean will live. Their fight then inspires The Governor to create the arena, with the National Guardsman as the fighters.
