José is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is a member of the Saviors and is living at the Sanctuary as a worker.
Pre-Apocalypse

Nothing is known about José's life before or as the outbreak began.
Post-Apocalypse
At some point in the apocalypse, José somehow came into contact with a group named "The Saviors" which he subsequently joined as a worker.
Season 8
"The Big Scary U"
José, along with Brooke, Potter, and many other workers confront the Savior lieutenants, demanding power, water, and other amenities. He shouts that the young and old need water. When Negan starts whistling and makes his way toward the crowd, José and the others quickly take a knee.
"Dead or Alive Or"
José is among the workers from the Sanctuary sent to Eugene's outpost, a machine factory designed to produce bullets for Negan's army.
"Worth"
José remains at the bullet factory, producing bullets with the other workers. He listens on to Eugene's speech about meeting the minimum quota for Simon. Later, he is shocked to see Eugene return after his brief absence, covered in soot. He and the other Saviors are ordered to complete the entire bullet order in anticipation of Negan's final assault on the survivors.
Season 9
"Who Are You Now?"
Following the six year time jump, the Sanctuary fell apart as a community, with most of its residents integrating into Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom, however José was one of the many residents to leave the Sanctuary and find safety on his own.[1]
