Joshua's grandfather is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is a resident of the Kingdom, alongside his daughter and grandson.

Nothing is known about this man's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he had a daughter and a grandson named Joshua.

Post-Apocalypse

Washington, D.C.

At some point in the apocalypse, this man and his family joined a community called the Kingdom.

Season 8

"Some Guy"

Joshua's grandfather is among the Kingdommers, along with his daughter and grandson, to gather in the center of town and listen to Ezekiel's speech about his confidence in the militia. He smiles as he listens and cheers with the other townspeople. When Ezekiel, Carol, and Jerry return to the Kingdom later that day, Joshua's grandfather gathers with his grandson and the other townspeople and is saddened by the loss of the Kingdom army, including his daughter.

"How It's Gotta Be"

Joshua's grandfather is among the Kingdommers rounded up by the Saviors when they invade the settlement at night. After Ezekiel sets off a distraction, the man flees the Kingdom with his grandson to the safe house with the other residents.

"Honor"

Joshua's grandfather and the other townspeople who escaped the Kingdom are led by Nabila to the safe house in the woods.
