Juan Gabriel Pareja is an American actor who portrayed Morales in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Biography[]
Juan was born in 1978 as the son of Colombian immigrants in Houston, Texas. Already in public school, he began to entertain with acting, singing, dancing and playing trumpet. While doing this, he also learned to speak both English and Spanish fluently, which helped him graduate from Magna Cum Laude.
After graduating, he studied acting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, taking the program Atlantic Theater Company's Acting School. He then returned to Houston, and within a year, made his film debut in "Lone Star State of Mind". Since his success in this movie, he has gotten more roles in movies, series and commercials.

- He is among the several cast members who starred in Frank Darabont's The Mist, along with Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Melissa McBride, Tiffany Morgan and Sam Witwer.
- In both, the film and the TV Series, his characters share the same name, Morales.
- He is known to play four different instruments; Trumpet, Djembe, Didgeridoo and Doumbek.
