Junction 7 is a location in Season 11 of AMC's The Walking Dead. It's a train junction that's located relatively close to Alexandria.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Nothing is known about this junction prior to the outbreak.

Post-Apocalypse[]

After the outbreak, the Commonwealth took control of this junction as part of the route for their supply train.

Season 11[]

"Outpost 22"[]

In order to get ahead of the Commonwealth's supply train, Daryl and Carol race to Junction 7, picking up Maggie and a mortally wounded Nelson along the way. Having heard the train, Rosita and Gabriel join the group as Daryl interrogates Nelson. Nelson eventually reveals that he doesn't know where their friends are, and they have to follow the train while the Designation 2s are taken far away and never seen again. At Nelson's request, Gabriel prays with him as he dies.

Not willing to risk letting Connie be taken away as a Designation 2, the group lays a trap for the train and its armed guard, jamming the track switch and then sabotaging the antenna for the train's long-range radio when it's forced to stop. As a herd emerges from the woods to draw the soldiers' attention, Daryl, Carol and Maggie ambush them by the tracks while Gabriel and Rosita ambush and kill one in the woods. Although Jones takes Connie hostage, she is able to break free. Jones flees into the woods on one of the motorcycles being transported on the train, but he is hunted down and killed by Daryl.

Having captured the train's engineer Wilson, the group attempts to learn the location of Outpost 22. However, terrified of what The Warden will do to his family if he talks, Wilson commits suicide instead. In a final ploy, Rosita contacts Outpost 22 over the train's radio, claiming to be one of the dead troopers and the only survivor of the ambush at Junction 7. Successfully fooled, the friendly soldier on the other end gives Rosita directions from the junction to Outpost 22 which is revealed to be a renamed Alexandria.
