A Kama is a type of Japanese sickle. It is the preferred weapon of Elijah.
Post-Apocalypse[]
At some point after the outbreak, Elijah adopts a pair of kamas as his weapon of choice.
When Elijah comes to the rescue of Aaron and Alden, they mistake him for hostile due to him waving around his kamas moments after they fight off several Whisperers. Shortly thereafter, Elijah uses the kamas to fight off three more Whisperers in order to save Gabriel Stokes, killing two with the weapons while Maggie gets the third with an arrow.
Elijah carries his kamas during the mission to retrieve Meridian's food supply and defeat the Reapers. During the Reapers' attack, Elijah uses one of his kamas to cut Maggie free of a rope before being dragged away. Elijah drops the weapon which is then recovered by Maggie who throws it at a Reaper, missing and hitting a tree instead. The kama is taken by the Reaper, Michael Turner, who later attacks and tries to kill Maggie with it. Working together, Maggie and Negan are able to kill Turner and drive off Bossie. Afterwards, Maggie either presumably takes the weapon with her and later returns it to Elijah or Elijah recovers it after he escapes from the Reapers as he possesses both weapons again while going after the Reapers.
During the final battle with the Reapers, Elijah unsuccessfully attempts to use his kamas to kill Brandon Carver in revenge for his sister's death. After running out of ammunition and with Elijah too weak to move, Maggie grabs one of the kamas off of the ground and uses it to kill Brandon instead.
Elijah later carries his kamas while going to help Riverbend, putting down a zombified Commonwealth soldier on the road with them. During a standoff with Annie, Elijah holds one of his blades to her throat while Annie holds a gun to Maggie's head before Negan defuses the situation. Later, on the roof, Elijah uses his kamas to kill Green and the other soldier guarding Toby Carlson as part of a trap devised by Maggie.
While Elijah continues to wield his kamas, he also briefly uses a Bow and Arrow following an encounter with a variant of walkers that are dubbed climbers out of fear of getting too close to them as one had grabbed Lydia's staff.
