Kentucky is a state in The United States of America. It is the home state of both Rick and Carl Grimes, the former and current protagonist of Image Comics' The Walking Dead respectively.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Kentucky was originally a part of Virginia, but split-off in 1792, and thus became the 15th state to join the Union. Cynthiana, Rick's home town, is located in the northern part of this state, and is where the story of The Walking Dead starts.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Although only Cynthiana is truly explored, it seems that Kentucky was quickly overrun, just like every other state. Most of the population crowded into cities as per government instructions, leaving small towns mostly deserted.
