- "What are you gonna do, turn me over to the Nation?"
- —Kerry to Alicia.[src]
Nothing is known about Kerry's life prior to or as the outbreak began except that she had a father and a son.
Kerry is at the well collecting water when Alicia notices her taking more water than she's allowed. Kerry is confronted by Alicia but refuses to put the water back, sparking a scuffle between her and several angry Natives. A fight breaks out as Alicia attempts to calm the crowd, in which Kerry grabs her water jug and flees the scene.
Kerry is among the ranchers to evacuate to the underground pantry. She shouts for someone to turn on the air as she struggles with the heat alongside her son and father. As Alicia addresses the crowd about those who were bitten, she is among those to come forward regarding her bite as her father tries to hold her back, not wanting her to die. When seated with the other bitten survivors, she tries to leave, stating that her son needs her. Instead, she is prevented from leaving by Christine who explains that they’re about to have morphine and feel bliss and no pain. Kerry realizes Christine is right and quietly returns to her seat. Ultimately, she is put down and killed with the other bitten victims.
