Khary Payton is an American actor who portrayed Ezekiel Sutton in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Biography
Khary Payton was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1972. He became interested in acting in high school and began doing stand-up comedy as a teenager.
After graduating from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, he performed in many Dallas Theatre Center productions.

- Two of Khary's children portrayed characters in the show. His daughter Maya Victory Payton, portrayed Celeste in "New Haunts" and his son, Eli Nkrumah Payton, portrayed Rosie Porter in "Rest in Peace".
- Both Khary and Robbie Daymond (Mitch/Armando/Gad) have appeared on Critical Role, albeit not in the same campaign.
- They also both voice characters in Critical Role's animated adaptation of their first campaign, The Legend of Vox Machina.
- Khary states that his favorite episode to work on was "Some Guy".[1]
- Khary shares a birthday with Angel Theory (Kelly) and Lynn Collins (Leah).
