King County Elementary School is a rural school in King County, Georgia and appeared as a flashback in Season 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead.
Pre-Apocalypse
Season 2
"Bloodletting"
Carl Grimes attended this school along with many other children in the town due to it being the only school in the county. Carl used to wait for his mother, Lori, to come after school to walk him home. Days before the apocalypse, Lori is seen waiting outside the school to pick him up where she talks to her friend, Paula, about her situation with Rick and her family. Shane then pulls up to the school and interrupts their conversation to tell Lori that Rick has been critically injured in the line of duty and is at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Post-Apocalypse
Status Unknown
Nothing is known about the school after the outbreak started except it may have been used as a FEMA or military outpost to aid in the evacuation similar to the Unnamed High School. It is possible that it got abandoned and became overrun by walkers.
