Kyoto Prefecture (Japanese: 京都府) is a prefecture that appears in The Walking Dead: All-Stars.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Located on the Sea of Japan coast, Kyoto Prefecture was located on the island of Honshu and boasted one of the world's largest GDPs, it was also the second largest tourist destination in Japan as well as being the location of the historic imperial capital of Japan.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known about Kyoto when the Trials begun though it can be assumed the Kyoto Police Department were the first responders to the crisis followed by the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) if and when a state of emergency was declared. Ultimately those proved to be in vain as the prefecture, like the rest of the country, became overrun with the undead.
Miho watched her mansion burn down and thinks about everything she's lost to the apocalypse at this point. She thinks about how her parents died after having been eaten by the dead. She grabs her practice naginata and starts following the Kamo River until she encounters a man in a nearby Hideout. The man offers her to stay with him, but feeling uneast about hin, she asks if he has food. The man quickly gives her food. Still feeling uneasy, she says she has a friend who's hiding in the nearby and asks if she can bring them. The man asks if it's a girl and she answers yes, wanting to get away from the man as fast as possible given the over excited nature he asked the question. She eventually reaches the Kiyomizu Temple and starts looking for supplies before reminiscing about life before the apocalypse.
