Dr.[2] Lauren Ridloff is an American actress who portrayed Connie in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Biography[]
Lauren Ridloff was born on April 6, 1978 in Chicago to a Mexican-American father and an African-American mother. She attended the Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, D.C., and then moved to the West Coast to attend the California State University.
In 2000, after graduating with a degree in English and Creative Writing, she was awarded as Miss Deaf America. She then moved to New York to study education at Hunter College and later taught kindergarten for several years, before deciding to pursue an acting career in Theather and films.

Trivia[]
- She was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her role in Children of a Lesser God.
- She is the first deaf actor in the franchise.
- She received an Honorary Doctorate of Human Letters from Gallaudet University.[2]
- Her role in Eternals makes her one of the few The Walking Dead cast members to appear in the MCU. The others being Michael Rooker (Merle), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Michael James Shaw (Mercer), Jordan Woods-Robinson (Eric), Cailey Fleming (Judith) and Matt Lintz (Henry Sutton).
