Leland is an antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear The Walking Dead. He is the leader of a group of bandits and serves as the primary antagonist of the episode "What's Your Story".

Pre-Apocalypse

Texas, United States

Nothing is known about Leland's life before or as the outbreak began. He may have lived in or near the state of Texas.

Post-Apocalypse

Leland and his group of bandits formed some time early in the apocalypse, scavenging areas in Texas. Sometime during their journey, they met Althea. As time passed, the group became more and more desperate in their methods of receiving new resources as most of the towns and areas were out of supplies.

Season 4

"What's Your Story?"

One night, Leland and his group set a trap of an empty tent with a lantern inside. As Morgan approaches it, he gets knocked out by the bandits. When he wakes up, Leland threatens him with his revolver. Before he can shot him, John appears and disarms Leland, but is then captured as well when Leland calls his friends.

When Althea joins as well, Leland and her negotiate. He gets a box of cup noodles and some cigarettes in exchange for releasing Morgan and John.

However, the very next day, he attacks John, Morgan, and Althea again, trying to steal their armored truck. As a fight breaks out, he tries to find the keys to the truck that Althea has thrown away. While searching a pile of junk, he gets bitten by a snake. As he threatens Althea, he is shot by John on the shoulder and then is devoured by walkers.

As Leland attacks Althea and attempts to take her keys to the SWAT truck, John shoots Leland in the shoulder. He is then devoured by walkers as Althea makes her escape.

Once inside the truck, Althea fires her machine guns killing all the walkers, including a partially devoured Leland.
