"Life Worth Living" is the fourth episode of The Walking Dead: Destinies and the fourth part of "Welcome to the Apocalypse".

Synopsis[]

When the outbreak occurred, with Rick in a coma, Shane looked after Rick's wife and son as if they were his own. Believing Rick to be dead, Lori and Shane developed feelings for each other, and began a romantic relationship. Together, they joined a group of survivors camping just outside of Atlanta.

Plot[]

Shane Walsh is in the woods with Rick's wife Lori, who gives him a kiss before she heads back to camp. After Lori leaves, Shane begins looking for food for the group, fighting off several walkers in the process. As Shane is on his way back, Lori radios him that he promised Carl frog catching.

After he gets back, Glenn and Merle/T-Dog return with Rick, whom Shane, Lori, and Carl are shocked to see alive and well. The reunited family embraces, as Shane looks on.

Later, Shane tries to talk to Lori, but she brushes him off and tells him her family is off-limits to him, as she departs.

Group Conflict[]

Defuse the situation[]

Merle/Dale: Dale is shaking in anger and apprehension as he approaches Merle. "So that's who we are now. We just abandon our own people? And you," he spits out, "I know you had something to do with this." Merle just smiles at Dale. "Who me? What makes you say that, Old Man River?" "You and T were always butting heads," growls Dale. "Guess you finally got him out of the way. Well, you're not going to get rid of me so easily!"

Rick can choose to defend Merle by explaining this was an accident or diffuse the situation, but back Dale up.

Handcuff Merle[]

Glenn/Daryl: Daryl stalks over to Glenn. "So, you're one of the sons a'bitches handcuffed my brother and chained him to a roof?" he snarls. "Chill, dude!" Glenn says, taking a step back. "Wasn't my call. But it was the right one. Merle was a danger to us all. Daryl's eyes narrow as he reaches for his knife.

Rick can choose to defend Glenn by taking responsibility or defend Glenn by deferring responsibility.
