Lou Diamond Phillips is an American actor and director.

Biography[]

Lou was born on February 17, 1962 in Subic Bay Naval Base, Olongapo City, Philippines. He has been married to Yvonne Boismier Phillips since August 16, 2007. They have one child.

  • He's 1/8 Cherokee.
  • Named by his father for highly decorated Gunnery Sergeant Leland "Lou" Diamond, USMC, who enlisted in the Marines at age 27 in 1917. He is also known as "Mr. Leatherneck".
