Originating from the Lousiana purchase from France in 1803 followed by being admitted to the union in 1812, Louisiana was one of the fifty states in the United States of America. It is located in the Deep South and South Central regions of the United States. Louisiana was the twenty-fifth most populous U.S. state and the twentieth-largest by area.
The state is bordered by Arkansas to the north, Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico to the east, the Gulf of Mexico to the south; and Texas to the west. It had a population of 4.521 million[1] or 4.545 million[2] inhabitants at the time of the outbreak.
Ava Sanderson lived on the coast of Louisiana with her three-year old daughter at their family's home, which had been owned by the Sanderson's for several generations.
Post-Apocalypse[]
It's unclear what happened to Lousiana once the Trials began though it can be assumed it followed the example of California with local law enforcement agencies followed by the National Guard being sent in to handle the crisis with them being overrun shortly thereafter.
In "Six Hours", it's revealed through Bea and Fred's map that the cities of Alexandria and Shreveport were two of the ten locations where the nuclear warheads launched by the Doomsday Cult landed.
