Lydia Blackman (née unknown) is a survivor of the outbreak in Thomas Dunne Books' The Walking Dead. She is described as an aging dowager from Savannah, who had gladly taken on the role of town gossip.
Pre-Apocalypse[]

Almost nothing is know about Lydia's life before or as the outbreak began. All that is known is that she lived in Savannah with her husband.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Woodbury, Georgia[]
At some point Lydia arrived at Woodbury, Georgia took on the role of town gossip.

"The Gathering"[]
On her way home, Lilly runs into Lydia and asks her if she's seen Austin Ballard. Lydia tells her that Austin was last seen an hour or so earlier, rummaging around the trash heap behind the storage warehouse on Main Street. A few passersby made snarky comments about the young man “turning into a hobo” and “the next thing you know, he’ll be pushing a shopping cart down Woodbury road looking for tin cans.”
Lydia stayed behind in Woodbury during the prison assault and listened to Lilly's recounting of the events in the courthouse along with the rest of the town.

As Lydia stayed behind in Woodbury, she was likely killed by the walkers that overran the town when the Church group blew the gates to Woodbury if she did not escape. As it was shown only few residents survived by escaping onto the courthouse roof.
