Not much is known about Madawaska prior to or as the outbreak began, except that it had a population of 4,035 people at the time of the outbreak, with the majority of its citizens being of Acadian descent and maintaining a strong cultural identity.
Post-Apocalypse[]
At some point during the outbreak, survivors from Madawaska walled off a portion of the town, creating a refuge for its remaining inhabitants.
