"Doomsday Clock"[]

It's possible Maggie took part in the prison group's retaliation on Woodbury by blowing up the National Guard Station and raiding the local Walmart, then killing Bruce, Curtis and two other guards.

While searching for the prison, Gabe, Rudy and Gus hear gunfire coming from the west over the treeline. They creep through the woods adjacent to the two-lane and find Maggie, Andrea and Hershel outside the fence of the prison doing some target practice on biters. Gabe and his men stay hidden in the bushes as they watch the group start dragging one of the biters back toward the gates and taking it inside.

During the first assault on the prison, after the biters around the fence are killed or lured away, the Governor orders the militia to shoot to kill at the prison's residents. The survivors dive for cover from the barrage of bullets, some of the weaker ones covering their heads and staying on the ground, others crawling madly for safety, and some of the older ones trying to help the younger ones. Many of the survivors appear to be unarmed which bothers Lilly Caul. Rick Grimes tackles Maggie to the ground and orders everybody to get down. He then tries to escort her inside towards the closest building due to the lack of cover. The prison survivors arm themselves and start shooting back at the army. Maggie crawls towards a rifle on the floor. Within moments, more members of the militia start to fall. The rising number of losses causes Woodbury to retreat.

After the initial attack, it appears many of the prison survivors have evacuated, Maggie being one of them.

For the rest of the events of the Novel Series, Maggie's whereabouts remain unknown, until her story picks back up in the Comic Series. For further details see:

Trivia[]

  • Maggie was born in 1984 since the outbreak started in 2003.
  • In #122's Letter Hacks, it was confirmed by Robert Kirkman that Maggie's last name remains Greene so the Greene family tree does not die out, and because Glenn's surname is nonexistent in the book.
