The soldiers wanted to talk to him, but I thought-- I thought it would be better if it was from someone he knew, and he's liked you so much.
―Maria Thompson to Travis Manawa.[src]

Maria Thompson (née unknown) is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. She is a resident of El Sereno community, alongside her husband Douglas and their daughters.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

El Sereno, Los Angeles, California[]

Maria has been living in the suburban El Sereno community of Los Angeles with her husband Douglas, a younger daughter, and an elder daughter. They are neighbors with the Clark, Cruz, Tran, Ramirez, and Dawson families.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 1[]

"Not Fade Away"[]

Maria, along with her daughters, fully clothed in protective gear, briefs Travis Manawa on the situation regarding her husband, who has shut himself in the master bathroom. Much to her relief, Doug is calmed down by Travis and is attended to by medical personnel as a part of mandatory screening.

Later that night, Maria and her daughters show up frantic at the Clark household. She reveals that Doug has taken his car after curfew, which is against safe zone rules, and driven off. Doug's car is found abandoned by the perimeter, and Lieutenant Moyers reveals that Doug was found by a patrol and taken into custody after he refused to calm down.
