Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is a city in France that appears in AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Before the outbreak, Marseille was the capital of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the prefecture of the French department of Bouches-du-Rhône and one of France's most populous cities.
Post-Apocalypse[]
In 2010, much like the rest of the world, Marseille was affected by the spread of the Wildfire Virus and its resulting apocalypse, causing the collapse of society at a massive scale. However, it remained active with Stéphane Codron and his brother living in a community in Marseille where they were recruited into the Power of the Living by a traveler.
Season 1[]
"L'âme Perdue"[]
After escaping from a Power of the Living ship during a mutiny, Daryl Dixon washes ashore in the seaside city of Marsaille. He quickly realizes he is in France after noticing the street signs are written in French. He walks around town and finds a wrecked boat in the canal and scavenges it for water and other supplies. Using a map from the boat, he plans a route to the western shoreline of France before grabbing a boat hook from a decayed corpse and follows the tracks at the city's train station northeast out of Marsaille before heading west towards the region of Languedoc-Roussillon.
"Paris Sera Toujours Paris"[]
