Middlebrook (first name unknown) is a character in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead: Dead in the Water. He is a crew member on the USS Pennsylvania, serving as a weapons operator.
Overview[]
Middlebrook is a humorous and light-hearted individual. He serves to protect his country and follows orders, though sometimes he doesn't take his job too seriously, such as joking around during a training exercise. He tends to enjoy the little things, such as when the crew gets ice cream despite knowing they're only getting it because they need room in the freezer. He often is seen joking around with Winokur.

"Something Bad"[]
Middlebrook is first seen in a training exercise with Riley, Farley, Winokur, and Williams launching the USS Pennsylvania's crew nuclear missiles. After it's over, Winokur jokingly tells Middlebrook that he doesn't have the touch, to which he chuckles.
"A Good Sailor"[]
After an announcement is made over the PA about ice cream sundaes in the cafeteria, Middlebrook goes to the mess hall. He is visibly excited when he gets his ice cream, but Winokur tells him to not get to excited since they're only getting it because they need room in the freezer. He jokingly tells Winokur that if it were him in there, that he hopes he would enjoy it, to which Winokur tells him if it were him in there he would. Middlebrook listens to Renwick give Friedman's eulogy. Suddenly Cook is attacked by a zombified Friedman. Bacon and Park get Friedman off him and pin him against the wall as his guts spill out. Cook, Bacon, and Park are all bitten before Friedman is put down.
"Do What Needs Doing"[]
As Riley moves through the corridors, he sees Middlebrook's corpse being devoured by walkers. The walkers stop devouring him after Riley activates a siren.
