Midi-Pyrénées is a region in France in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Midi-Pyrénées has no historical or geographical unity. It is one of the regions of France created in the late 20th century to serve as a hinterland and zone of influence for its capital, Toulouse, one of a handful of so-called "balancing metropolises" (métropoles d'équilibre). Another example of this is the region of Rhône-Alpes which was created as the region for Lyon.
Post-Apocalypse[]
In 2010, much like the rest of the world, Midi-Pyrénées was affected by the spread of the Wildfire Virus and its resulting apocalypse, causing the collapse of society at a massive scale.
Season 1[]
"L'âme Perdue"[]
After making the treacherous journey on foot from Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur through Languedoc-Roussillon, Daryl Dixon made it into the neighboring region of Midi-Pyrénées where he eventually stopped at a marketplace for supplies. After being injured by a variant walker known as a "burner", Daryl continued through the Midi-Pyrénées countryside where he ended up at a farm and met two survivors, Maribelle and Guillaume. Following a violent encounter with guerriers of the Power of the Living and being betrayed by Maribelle and Guillaume, Daryl collapsed on a countryside road 15 miles from Lourdes and was found by Isabelle, who took him to the Abbey of Saint Bernadette for medical care. Later, while Maribelle and Guillaume were trekking through the countryside, they were stopped by a Cause squadron led by Stéphane, who questioned the pair about the missing whereabouts of Michel and Henri. Detecting that the pair was lying to them, Guillaume was killed and Maribelle was taken by the Cause back to the farm where the fight with Michel and Henri took place. Some time later, the abbey was attacked by Stéphane and his men and all of the residents were killed, along with all of the attackers. After burying the dead nuns, Daryl left with Isabelle, Sylvie, and Laurent with plans to head north.

Trivia[]
- In real life, Midi-Pyrénées joined the region of Languedoc-Roussillon to form Occitania in 2016. But since the apocalypse started in 2010, this never happened in the The Walking Dead universe and the two regions remained separate.
