Miguel (first name unknown) is an antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is an officer of the Mexican Navy and patrols the coast of Baja California.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Mexico[]

Nothing is known about Miguel's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he was a Mexican Naval Officer. He also knew Luis before the apocalypse.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 2[]

"Sicut Cervus"[]

Miguel is among the Mexican Navy stationed in Baja California, patrolling the coast. He boards The Abigail alongside Vazquez. He and his fellow officer negotiate a trade with Luis and Strand. After seeing that the boat is too big for just two people, he demands to see the rest of the boat. After a disagreement, he and Vazquez shoot at Luis and Strand. While both officers are killed, one of them manages to mortally wound Luis.

After asking for more gold to allow the group to cross the border into Mexico, a small shoot out ensues and Luis manages to shoot Miguel to death.

Daniel grabs a knife from one of the coast guards and proceeds to stab both Miguel and Vazquez in the brain in order to prevent them from reanimating.

  • The casting call for this character used the name Colonel Gomez.[1]
    • Miguel was described as "A pompous military commander."
    • This character was ultimately left uncredited.
  • In the sneak peak for the episode "Sicut Cervus" he is called "McAllen" by Strand, although in the episode was called Miguel.
  • Judging by the rank insignia on his shoulder board, Miguel holds the rank of Ship Lieutenant.
