Monument High School is a location in the Campus Colony of Omaha that appeared in AMC's The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

Pre-Apocalypse

Nothing is known about Monument High School before the apocalypse, although it's likely it didn't exist in its current iteration. The building(s) used for Monument High School were likely used for other purposes within Nebraska State University.

Post-Apocalypse

Season 1

"Brave"

In English class, Mr. Kapadia says that Feast Day is about celebrating life, and Monument Day is when they reflect on what they lost. Iris listens, thinking back to the night her mom died. She sees a fiery crash. The teacher stops in front of Elton, who is scribbling in a notebook. He says he wants to experience the world because that's what his parents wanted. In the middle of class, Iris gets a message that Hope's alcohol stash was raided.

The entirety of Monument High School was destroyed by the Civic Republic Military, using chlorine gas to kill the inhabitants of the Campus Colony, then allowed walkers to pour in later, shooting any survivors afterwards.

"The Tyger and the Lamb"

In a flashback, a student is in a hallway chatting with a friend at when Silas walks by. As Silas attempts to fix his music player, he overhears the two students talking about him and how the walls of their community are meant to keep "monsters" out, referring to him because of the crime he committed while living in Omaha.

In another flashback, Silas mops the floor in Leo Bennett's lab and he sees a girl and her friend at the doorway gossiping about him. Upon catching Silas starting at them, this girl and her friend quickly walk away. He becomes emotional while looking at a phot of Iris and Hope just it when Iris walks in. She tells him that she left her homework in the room, and takes it. Before walking out, she tells Silas that she misses her father. As Iris leaves, she drops the poem of 'The Tyger and the Lamb' on the ground, and before Silas can return it to her, she disappears.
