Nothing is known about Morgan's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he had a son.

Morgan's Story - A New Lease On Life[]
Morgan is trapped inside a car and still mourning the loss of his son, Duane, who died two days ago. He's malnourished and dehydrated, not wanting to do anything since his son died. Soon enough, walkers take notice of Morgan inside the car. He looks around for anything that can be used as a weapon. He still has Duane's bag and looks through it and finds the Gameboy that he had given Duane for Christmas. This motivates him to get out of his depression and kill the zombies outside the car.
