Nara, Nara Prefecture is a location that appears in The Walking Dead: All-Stars.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Nara was the capital city of the eponymous Nara Prefecture. It was the capital of Japan during the eponymous Nara period from 710-794 before the capital was moved to Kyoto. The city is best known for it's shrines which were collectively designated a UNESCO world heritage site in 1998. It also had a population of over 374,000 as of 2003.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known about Nara when the Trials begun though it can be assumed the Nara Police Department were the first to respond to the crisis followed by the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF) if and when a state of emergency was declared.
After the death of the rest of the Kyoto Police Department, Souta and Aya agree to head to the countryside of Nara to escape the dead as they figured that since it is less populated and more open space, then there's be less of the undead and enough land to use as a farm. Eventually the due runs into Daichi and joins them on their travels to Nara.
A few days after the destruction of the temple, Souta's Group arrives at the temple, thinking that they were going to able to scope out the surrounding area; however when they arrive, they find Miho. They invite her to join the group, which she subsequently does and the group makes their way to the countrysides of Nara.
