Necromonger is a antagonist in Image Comics' Solid Blood. He served as the primary antagonist of Solid Blood.

Before "Solid Blood"

Not much is known about Necromonger's life prior to the start of the series except that he had been defeated multiple times by the legendary sword Soul Cleaver.

Solid Blood

At some point, Necromonger engaged the heroes at least once in the past. He later returned and fought Bladesmith and Swordmaster, the latter of whom he proceeded to kill by stomping her head in.

Issue 17

Necromonger taunts Bladesmith over Swordmaster's death. As Bladesmith becomes enraged, Necromonger grabs her by her head and tries to crush her as he taunts over not having her sword Soul Cleaver, but suddenly Soul Cleaver shows up, cutting through Necromonger's zombie army and through his chest. Bladesmith then uses Soul Cleaver to cut Necromonger in half. It only temporarily wounds him as Bladesmith kills the remaining zombies.

Now fully healed, Necromonger engages Bladesmith in a fight before they are both sent flying by the emergence of Shawna's Bloodwraith. Shawna uses her control of the Bloodwraith to fight Necromonger.

• Necromonger is one of the few characters known to have the ability to control zombies, the others being the holders of Lucille in Rick Grimes 2000.
• Necromonger could be an alternative version of Spawn due to their similar appearance and powers.
