The following is a transcript of Episode 5: No Time Left of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season 1.

Morgue

(The episode has a brief recap of previous dialogue.)

Lee: Vernon! Get out here! There doesn't have to be any trouble here, all I want is the girl! Give her back and nobody needs to get hurt!

Clementine: Lee?

Lee: Clementine! Are you alright? Where are you? Vernon, you son of a bitch.

Stranger: Hello, Lee.

Lee: Where have you taken her?

Stranger: This isn't Vernon. And you should really watch your tone.

Lee: Who is this?

Stranger: It's not Vernon, if that's what you're thinking. And you should really watch your tone.

Lee: Vernon, put Clementine back on, I want to talk to her!

Stranger: This isn't Vernon. And you should really watch your tone.

Stranger: Cat got your tongue? In case you haven't figured it out yet--this isn't Vernon.

Stranger: Clementine's fine. But if I were you, I'd choose my next words VERY carefully.

Lee: You're fucking DEAD. I don't know who you are, but I will kill you, do you understand?

Stranger: I know you will. She knows you will. Say goodbye.

Clementine: Goodbye--

Lee: Please don't hurt her.

Stranger: Hurt her? I'm not the one who hurts people. There's an ocean of dead between you and me and her, and if I can thank God for anything anymore, it's that.

Lee: What do you want from me? Whatever it is, I'll do it and you can let her go.

Stranger: I want you to never hurt anybody again. This isn't a kidnapping, Lee.

Lee: Then what is it?

Stranger: A rescue.

Lee: I don't care WHAT it is. Just let her go.

Lee: I can think of one more person I'm going to hurt, motherfucker. I'm gonna--

Stranger: No, you're not. There's an ocean of dead between you and me and her, and if I can thank God for anything anymore, it's that.

Stranger: I suppose you're letting that sink in. Think about it.

Stranger: Smart. I guess if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Kenny shakes his head.

Christa: That son of a bitch.

Ben: Lee?

Stranger: I guess you REALLY don't care, do you? I had you all wrong...

The radio cuts out.

Lee: Fuck.

Lee: He better not fucking hurt her. I swear...

Lee: Just hold on, Clementine. I'm coming for you.

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: Don't worry, pal. We'll get her back.

Ben: Maybe he's not that bad...

Kenny: Don't get me fucking STARTED on you and good intentions.

Lee: Easy.

Christa: This is bad, but we can deal with it together. We're going to need to hurry.

Ben: What do you wanna do?

Lee: Get her back.

Christa: How's that feeling?

Lee: Fine. Don't worry about it.

They will remember that.

Omid: It wasn't a full chomp...

Lee: No. It wasn't.

Lee: It doesn't matter. It is what it is.

They will remember that.

Lee: Not great. My hand is hot and it's thumping a little bit.

They will remember that.

Kenny: You seem okay for now.

Christa: Well...you're still alive. That's something.

Omid: Yeah, totally.

Lee says nothing.

Walkers approach the door.

Kenny: We ain't flush with time, but... Fuck. We got less than I thought. I'll be ready to kill anything that tries to get in.

Lee: You got it by yourself?

Kenny: Damn right; you just try to find another way out of here.

Lee: Got it.

Kenny: And, Lee... I'm glad I didn't let you come alone.

Christa: We don't have much time.

Kenny: We're about to have a lot less! We'll all make sure nothing gets in. You're still the smartest fucker outta all of us--try to find another way out of here.

Christa: We don't have a lot of time.

Omid: We're about to have a lot less...

Christa: We three will stop them getting in.

Christa: We'll stop them if we have to.

Christa: Lee--find a way out of here!

Kenny: Shit, like we need more motivation to get out of here. Find another way out; Ben and I are on the door!

Ben: Oh, shit!

Lee: Focus, Ben. I'll find another way out of here; you stay on that door and kill anything that comes through it. Got it?

Ben: I can handle it.

Lee: You sure?

Ben: I got it!

Lee: Good man.

Lee: You better, or we're both dead.

Ben: I got it!

Lee says nothing.

Ben: You just get us out of here!

Lee: Damn.

Whoever Lee took with him closes/aims their weapon at the door; if he's alone, he closes the door himself.

Lee: Just some surgical supplies.

They are empty.

Lee: I don't think I can pry open the doors with this.

Kenny: Shit, this is a morgue! There's gotta be SOMETHING in here we can use!

Lee: This isn't gonna help.

Lee: Nothing through here.

Kenny: Damn. I was kinda hoping they'd dug some secret tunnels or something.

Lee: Looks like Vernon and his people cleared their shit out of here in a hurry.

Kenny: Well, Clementine ain't with them, so fuck 'em.

Christa: Where the hell did they go?

Lee: Can't those things let up for a fucking minute?!

Kenny: Just keep looking for another way out. I got this.

Lee: That door's not gonna last forever.

Lee tries and fails to open the elevator.

Lee: I can't get my hands in between the doors.

Lee: I'm not gonna shoot my way through.

Talk to Christa (brought Christa and Omid)

Christa: Hey, don't worry, we'll find Clementine.

Lee: Damn right we will. No matter what.

Kenny: To do that you've gotta get us another way out!

Talk to Christa again

Lee: Hey...

Christa: We'll have time to chit-chat later.

Talk to Christa again

Lee: I should keep looking for a way out.

Christa: That's what I'm sayin'.

Talk to Omid (brought Christa and Omid)

Lee: Any trouble?

Omid: There's thousands of dead filling the sewers and god only knows how many up top, so, ya know.

Kenny: Don't worry about this door right now, we've got it.

Talk to Ben (brought Ben)

Lee: Whatever happens, don't let anything through that door; got it?

Ben: I got it.

Lee: Ben, I'm serious. Clementine is out there and I NEED to get to her. Don't. Fuck. Up.

Ben: Okay.

Lee: We're lucky there's no axe holding that door closed, huh?

Ben: Oh, shut up.

Lee: How's that door holding up?

Kenny: Good thing there's no hatchet keeping it shut, huh?

Talk to Ben again

Lee: How sturdy's that door?

Ben: I don't know; I don't want to be around for its breaking point.

Talk to Ben again

Lee: You keep on this door until I find us a way out.

Ben: I won't let you down.

Kenny: Are you fucking serious? That's your specialty!

Lee: Knock it off. Just make sure nothing comes through there.

Talk to Ben again

Lee: I should keep looking for a way out.

Ben: Yeah, as quick as you can.

Talk to Kenny (brought Kenny)

Lee: Guess there's no going back the way we came.

Kenny: No shit.

Omid: There's no going back at ALL if you don't find another way out of here. We've got this, you keep looking.

Lee: Everything okay over here?

Kenny: Yeah, Ben hasn't screwed the pooch yet.

Lee: Hey, thanks for having my back.

Kenny: It's been you and me, pal, since the beginning.

Lee: Yeah...

Kenny: Hey, Clementine needs you. Get back to it.

Talk to Kenny again

Lee: Are you sure you can handle this?

Kenny: I'm fine, Lee. It's this guy you gotta worry about. Remind me again why you thought it'd be a good idea to bring this shit along?

Lee: Just...watch that door.

Lee: You gonna be able to hold them back if that door opens?

Kenny: No promises.

Lee: I should keep looking for a way out.

Kenny: Yeah, get to it.

Lee opens the second cabinet and looks at the rib spreader inside.

Lee: I think it's some sort of spreading device. Grosses me out just looking at it.

Lee takes the device.

Lee: Looks like a car jack... I don't want to imagine this being used on a body.

Lee places the rib spreader in between the doors.

Lee: I'll have these doors open in two seconds!

Lee cranks the rib spreader and the elevator doors open. Lee falls down and loses consciousness. He partially wakes up when the others find him lying on the floor.

Kenny: Fuck! Is he alive?

Christa: Shit.

Omid: This is bad...

Kenny: Fuuuuck!

Christa: Help me move him!

Kenny: LEE! Wake up! What the fuck happened?! You alright? Oh, fuck me...when the hell did that happen?! Goddamn it, Lee!

Ben: Lee? Lee?! Oh, god. Please be alive! I...I can't... Oh, shit! You're bitten.

Omid: Christ! What the hell happened?

Christa: It's the bite.

Omid: Well...what can we do?

Christa: I don't know... Help me move him!

TBC

Lee wakes up sometime later on one of the operating tables if he brought someone else; if he went alone, he wakes up in the same spot he passed out.

Kenny: Okay... This has to be done... Sorry, pal, I gotta do it...

Lee wakes up and sees Kenny holding a bonesaw above his arm.

Lee: I'm awake!

Lee: Don't kill me!

Lee: WHOA!

Lee says nothing.

Christa: STOP! He's awake!

Kenny: He's still bitten!

Christa: SO?!

Kenny: This about trying to SAVE him! At the very least, buy him some time.

Ben: Do we have to cut it off, though?

Omid: Do we know it works?

Kenny: We don't know anything.

Ben: Is there gonna be a lot of blood?

Christa: There's gonna be a shitload of blood.

Omid: What if he dies?

Christa: Then the rest of us go after Clementine and get the hell out of Savannah.

Kenny: Damn right. Let's do this. If there's a chance it stops you from turning, we have to take it!

Lee: Let's do it. Maybe it'll work.

Christa: It's a big risk.

Omid: Yeah...we're down here without a lot of options...

Lee: Jesus, what are you guys talking about?

Ben: We thought maybe...with your bite...if we removed it, you might live.

Christa: I know it's drastic.

Lee: You think?

Christa: But what if it works? It might be the only way.

Lee: Hey, I'm laying right here.

Kenny: Sorry.

Christa: It's not really our call anymore.

Lee: Yeah, no shit.

Omid: If we take off the arm and you don't die of blood loss, well, maybe you won't die from the bite.

Kenny: What do you think?

TBC

Kenny: Okay... This has to be done... Sorry, pal, I gotta do it...

Lee wakes up and sees Kenny holding a bonesaw above his arm.

Lee: I'm awake!

Lee: Don't kill me!

Lee: WHOA!

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: Thanks, God... I found your goddamn secret, you dumb son of a bitch. You were BITTEN? Fuck, man. When were you... God.

Lee: It happened before.

Lee: I'm sorry I didn't say anything.

Kenny: You fucking better be. What are you doing keeping that to yourself?!

Lee: I don't know.

Kenny: Well, look. I'm pissed, but, well, I'm glad you're not alone.

Lee: It doesn't change anything; we're still going after Clementine.

Kenny: Except when you find her, you're not going to be around to take care of her. Maybe we can...do something.

Lee: We gotta do something about it. I don't want to be dead before getting to Clementine.

Kenny: I'm with ya.

Kenny: Well, look. I'm pissed, but, well, I'm glad you're not alone.

Kenny: I was...uh...gonna try to do a little surgery before you woke up.

Lee: Let's do it. Maybe it'll work.

Kenny: It's a hell of a risk, but...hey, you never know.

Lee: What? What are you talking about?

Kenny: Look, you haven't been bitten long. It's away from your heart and your head. We take the arm and maybe we save your life.

Lee: I might die a lot faster in a pool of my own blood.

Kenny: We gotta try something. Come on, Lee.

Lee: That sounds like bullshit

Kenny: We gotta try something.

Lee: Do we?

Kenny: Yeah, we do. Come on, Lee.

Kenny: Look, I know it sounds fucking impossible, but we gotta try. Come on, Lee.

Kenny: Okay... This has to be done... Sorry, pal, I gotta do it...

Lee wakes up and sees Kenny holding a bonesaw above his arm.

Lee: I'm awake!

Lee: Don't kill me!

Lee: WHOA!

Lee says nothing.

Ben: Stop! He's awake! He's awake!

Kenny: You son of a bitch! How the hell could you not tell us?!

Lee: I'm sorry.

Ben: When?! How did it happen?!

Kenny: I thought you had a fucking stroke or something; taking a dive like that.

Lee: It happened right before everything.

Kenny: Well, FUCK. We're in here now, and I'm not gonna let you die. You hear me? I think we gotta take it off.

Ben: Do we know we won't kill him?

Kenny: We don't know anything.

Ben: Is there gonna be a lot of blood?

Kenny: A shitload.

Ben: What...what if he dies?

Kenny: Then you and I go and find Clementine. But right now, my opinion is we do this. If there's a chance it stops you from turning, we have to take it.

Lee: Let's do it. Maybe it'll work.

Kenny: It's a hell of a risk, but...hey, you never know.

Lee: Jesus, what are you guys talking about?

Kenny: Look, you haven't been bitten long. It's away from your heart and your head. We take the arm and maybe we save your life. What do you think?

Lee: Hey, I'm laying right here.

Kenny: Sorry.

Ben: Now that he's awake, maybe Lee should make the call.

Kenny: Uh, ya think? What do you think, Lee?

Kenny: What do you think?

Ben: Oh, god, what am I doing?! Okay... I can do this...here goes.

Lee wakes up and sees Ben holding a bonesaw above his arm.

Lee: I'm awake!

Lee: Don't kill me!

Lee: WHOA!

Lee says nothing.

Ben: Oh, thank god! You fell over and I thought you had a stroke or something! I was looking for the cause of it, and...I...found...found a bite. How...when?

Lee: It happened before.

Lee: I'm sorry I didn't say anything.

Ben: I just can't believe it...why didn't you tell us?! Maybe they woulda stayed too!

Lee: I don't know.

Ben: I didn't know what to do.

Lee: It doesn't change anything; we're still going after Clementine.

Ben: But, but...when we find her, you're not going to be around to take care of her. Is there anything we can do?

Lee: We gotta do something about it. I don't want to be dead before getting to Clementine.

Ben: Okay. OKAY.

Ben: What do we do? We have to do something; I can't watch you die.

Ben: I don't think I could've done it anyway. Taken your arm, that is. I just...I don't know...I thought it might save you.

Lee: Let's do it. Maybe it'll work.

Ben: I'm...I'm not sure I can.

Lee: What? What are you talking about?

Ben: Uh...cutting off the arm. Just above the bite. I thought maybe then you wouldn't die.

Lee: I might die a lot faster in a pool of my own blood.

Ben: Well, we've gotta try something, right?

Lee: That sounds like bullshit.

Ben: Well, we've gotta try something.

Lee: Do we?

Ben: Of course. Come on, Lee.

Ben: I know it sounds impossible, but we've got to try something. Come on, Lee!

Omid: Jesus, are you sure this will help?

Christa: You got any better ideas? Okay... It's now or never...

Lee wakes up and sees Christa holding a bonesaw above his arm.

Lee: I'm awake!

Lee: Don't kill me!

Lee: WHOA!

Lee says nothing.

Ben: Stop! He's awake! He's awake!

Omid: He's bitten; we've still gotta do something.

Ben: Do we have to cut it off, though?

Christa: We're trying to save him! At the very least, buy him some time.

Ben: But THIS way...?

Omid: Do we know it works?

Christa: Of course not.

Ben: Is there gonna be a lot of blood?

Christa: There's gonna be a shitload of blood.

Omid: What if he dies?

Christa: Then the rest of us go after Clementine and get the hell out of Savannah.

Christa: We have to deal with this bite right NOW.

Omid: I'm with you, just look at him!

Christa: I know it's drastic.

Lee says nothing.

Christa: What do you think?

Lee gets up.

Lee: Fuck... It's getting worse.

Lee sees a bonesaw on a nearby table.

Lee: Maybe it's not too late. I need to get out of here. Fast.

Lee: Fuck it. Cut it off.

This is going to hurt.

Christa: Seriously?

Lee: Yeah.

Kenny: You sure?

Lee: Yeah.

Ben: Are you sure?

Lee: Yeah.

Ben: Now that you're awake...maybe... LOOK, I just don't think I can do it. I'll hold the tourniquet or something.

Lee: Are you fucking kidding me?

Ben: What if I pass out halfway through?

Lee: Jesus...

Lee: No. We leave it.

You chose to keep your arm.

Kenny: Are you sure?

Christa: Are you sure?

Lee: Yeah. I feel like I've got time; just keep an eye on me. If I get my hands on the bastard who's got Clem, I'm going to be happy to have them both.

Omid: But...you're gonna die.

Lee: Yeah, but not in here. You guys keep an eye on that door, I'll work on getting us out of here.

Christa: Lee--

Lee: No. This is what we're doing and I don't want to hear anything else, okay?

Christa nods.

Kenny: Are you sure?

Lee: Yeah. I feel like I've got time; just keep an eye on me. If I get my hands on the bastard who's got Clem, I'm going to be happy to have them both.

Kenny: Lee, you'll die.

Lee: Yeah, but not in here. You guys keep an eye on that door, I'll work on getting us out of here.

Kenny: Lee--

Lee: No. This is what we're doing and I don't want to hear anything else, okay?

Kenny nods.

Ben: But...

Lee: It's what we're doing.

Ben: Are you sure?

Lee: Yeah. I feel like I've got time, just keep an eye on me. If I get my hands on the bastard who's got Clem, I'm going to be happy to have them both.

Ben: But...you'll die.

Lee: Yeah, but not in here. Now, keep an eye on that door, I'll get these elevator doors open.

Ben: Okay.

Lee: Good.

Kenny: To hell with it. I'm not letting you die. Come on, let's get it done.

Ben: Lee, do you wanna do this?

Lee has to answer again.

Ben: Okay, let's just hope we make it time.

You chose to keep your arm.

Lee: Now, keep an eye on that door, I'll get these elevator doors open.

Ben: Okay.

Lee: Good.

Christa: I think we should do it. We'll be smart about it and any chance is better than none. Okay?

Lee puts his arm on the operating table.

Lee: It'll be over before you know it. Just gotta get through.

Lee: Don't cut too high, okay? Just get through the thinnest part you think is best.

Lee: Fuck this... Fuck. Just gotta do it. Goddamn.

Lee takes several calming breaths.

Kenny and Christa stand in front of the bonesaw.

Kenny: It was easier when I thought he was out.

Christa: Oh, Jesus, FINE.

Christa picks up the bonesaw.

Christa: I'll go as fast as I can.

Lee: You got this--

Lee: Fast would be good. Look, you're gonna want--

Lee: If I don't live through this, I need you to know you'll--

Christa: I don't know if I'd rather be you or me right now.

Lee screams as Christa starts sawing through his arm.

Christa: TRY TO STAY STILL! Fuck, fuck, fuck! Gotta tighten the tourniquet!

Lee: STOP!

Christa: I CAN'T! HOLD ON!

Lee: FUHHHH...!

Christa: Just HOLD ON!

Lee: OH, GOD!

Christa: I KNOW!

Lee continues screaming.

Christa: I'm sorry.

Lee screams and passes out. He wakes up some time later, his arm amputated below the elbow and bandaged up.

Kenny picks up the bonesaw.

Kenny: This ain't gonna be fun.

Lee: Tell me about it.

Lee: You got this--

Lee: Fast would be good. Look, you're gonna want--

Lee: If I don't live through this, I need you to know you'll--

Kenny: Alright, you tough son of a bitch...

Lee grunts in pain.

Lee screams as Kenny starts sawing through his arm.

Kenny: KEEP STILL! TRY TO KEEP STILL! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! FUCK, THE TOURNIQUET!

Lee: STOP!

Kenny: A LITTLE TOO LATE FOR THAT, PAL!

Lee: FUHHHH...!

Kenny: HOLD ON, MAN!

Lee: OH, GOD!

Kenny: I KNOW, I KNOW!

Lee continues screaming.

Kenny: YOU’RE DOING GREAT!

Lee screams and passes out. He wakes up some time later, his arm amputated below the elbow and bandaged up.

Lee puts his arm on the operating table and holds the bonesaw.

Lee: Okay, you can do this. You can do this. Here we go. One. Two. THREE. (Lee can't bring himself to do it) I'll just take my time.

Lee saws through his arm and screams. Ben passes out. Lee continues sawing, successfully cutting his arm off. He reaches for the bandages and patches up his stump, then passes out. He awakes some time later.

Lee: Ugh... Fuck. Ow. Ugh. Holy shit...

Kenny: Holy hell, we thought maybe we lost you. You been out a while, man.

Christa: Oh, my god, you're alive. It was getting to the point where we figured you weren't coming back.

Ben: Finally. Oh, man. I can't believe you lived through that.

Lee: Ugh...what the hell did we do...? Jesus, this hurts so goddamn bad. I hope it helps.

Lee: It hurts so bad, but maybe now I've got more time.

Lee: My arm's on fire. I can still feel my fingers. Holy hell... Ugh, this hurts more than you can believe.

Lee grunts in pain.

Christa: Do you think you'll be able to travel? You lost some blood.

Lee: Yeah.

Kenny: Good. The elevator's open. Let's go.

Ben: The elevator's open; let's go.

Omid: Then let's move as fast as you can; the elevator's open!

Lee: I'll bring up the rear; I don't wanna bleed on anyone.

Kenny: You gonna be able to get goin'? I think we gotta move.

Lee: Yeah.

Kenny: Good. The elevator's open. Let's go.

Lee: I'll bring up the rear; I don't wanna bleed on anyone.

Kenny: You are some kinda somethin'.

Ben: Oh, thank Jesus you're alive. Oh, god. I woke up and you were there and your arm was over there and the BLOOD...

Lee: Thanks for the help.

Ben: It's just the blood.

Lee: Yeah...yeah...it was MY arm.

Ben: Can we go?

Lee: Yeah.

Ben: I got the elevator open. We should be able to find a way out.

Lee: You go first; I don't want to bleed on you.

Ben: Thanks...

Lee looks at the surgical supplies.

Lee: Hell no...

Lee puts his arm on the operating table and holds the bonesaw.

Lee: Okay, you can do this. You can do this. Here we go. One. Two. THREE. (Lee can't bring himself to do it) I'll just take my time.

This is going to hurt.

Lee saws through his arm and screams. Lee continues sawing, successfully cutting his arm off. He reaches for the bandages and patches up his stump, then passes out. He awakes some time later.

Lee: Ugh... Fuck. Ow. Ugh. Holy shit... Man. Ugh...fuck... I hope this helped. Now...okay...gotta get out of here.

Lee cranks open the rib spreader; the doors open and the device falls down. Lee pushes the doors open more.

Lee/the group enters the elevator.

Lee: Aw, jeez.

Christa: We're going to have to go as quiet as possible and see if we can make it to an empty floor or even the roof. You think it's possible for you?

Kenny: Not exactly a handicap ramp.

Lee: No, no, it's not.

Kenny: We're going to have to climb as quiet as we can; can you handle that?

Ben: This is a, uh, challenge.

Lee: Yeah, sure is.

Ben: Are you gonna be okay?

Lee: Yeah. Get goin'.

Lee: Alright, up we go.

Christa: We're going to have to go as quiet as possible and see if we can make it to an empty floor or even the roof.

Omid: Sounds good.

TBC

TBC

Lee and whoever came with him climb up the ladder in the elevator shaft.

Omid: You okay down there? Remember, quiet.

Lee: It's no big deal. Another arm would just get in the way.

Christa: Jesus Christ, Lee.

Omid: Nice and quiet, everybody...

Kenny: There's some light up there...

Lee: Good. I gotta get my ass off this ladder.

Kenny: You okay down there? Quiet, remember?

Lee: It's no big deal. Another arm would just get in the way.

Kenny: Shiiiit.

Kenny: There's some light up there...

Lee: Good. I gotta get my ass off this ladder.

Ben: Everything okay down there?

Lee: It's no big deal. Another arm would just get in the way.

Ben: There's some light up here.

Lee: Good. I gotta get my ass off this ladder.

Lee: It's no big deal. Another arm would just get in the way.

A walker falls past Lee/the group.

(If Lee brought someone else.)

Lee: Watch out!

(If Lee went alone.)

Lee: Fuck!

Lee: What the...?

Lee: Shit!

Lee says nothing.

Ben: Oh, man, oh, jeez...

Kenny: Shut the fuck up, Ben.

Lee: Everything okay up there?

Ben: I think I just peed myself.

Lee: So, yes, then.

Kenny: Damn...

Christa: That was fucking close.

Lee: Everything okay up there?

Omid: Oh, just fucking peachy.

Lee: Everything okay up there?

Kenny: I just about shit my pants, but, yeah.

Christa: That was fucking close.

Lee: Everything okay up there?

Omid: Oh, just fucking peachy.

Lee: Man...better keep my eyes open.

Lee passes out and lets go of the ladder, his legs getting stuck in the rungs and preventing him from falling.

Christa: Lee! LEE! Oh, god, are you alive? Get up!

Kenny: Lee! What the fuck, pal?! Get up! Get up!

Ben: Oh, shit! Oh, no, Lee, wake up! Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall!

Lee: I'm alive...I think.

Lee: I'm gonna fall, shit, I'm fucked here.

Lee: I can't move, goddamn, I'm stuck!

Lee says nothing.

Christa: You have to pull yourself up!

Kenny: I can't come back down for ya. You're gonna have to pull yourself up!

Ben: Can you pull yourself up? You gotta try!

Lee: Gotta...get...up...

Lee: Ah, Jesus...gotta...get...up.

Lee pulls himself and continues climbing the ladder.

Christa: Good job.

Kenny: Way to go, pal. Gave me a fucking scare.

Ben: Good...man, you scared the crap out of me.

Lee/the group climbs past a floor covered in walkers.

Rooftop

They reach the roof of the hospital. The streets are filled with walkers.

Kenny: Remember when Savannah was empty?

Christa: Those Crawford bastards did one thing right, I guess.

Kenny: There must be thousands of them.

Ben: Did they follow us here?

Omid: They didn't follow us here, did they?

Kenny: It sure seems like it.

Christa: That's crazy; they can't TRACK. They just roam.

Kenny: Is it? That fucking train wasn't exactly discreet.

Omid: Well, what do we do now?

Lee: We need to get off this roof as fast as we can.

Christa: It's not safe down there. We can't just walk through the streets.

Lee: You planning on growing some wings?

Christa: It's taking an immense amount of willpower to NOT make a crack about that suggestion coming from the one-armed man.

Lee: That joke'll be funnier once we know if this worked.

Lee: Maybe we can wait for an opening.

Ben: I don't know...we could be waiting a LONG time.

Omid: We could be waiting a LONG time.

Kenny: Still, Lee's right in that we gotta pick our time and go. Anybody know how far and in what direction the mansion is? We probably oughta start there.

Lee: It's between us and River Street, so we can stop if we have to. Retrace our steps maybe, and then get going the hotel where Clem's parents were staying.

Kenny: Okay.

Lee: Clementine's out there, somewhere, gobbled up in all of that.

Christa: We'll get to her, Lee. We'll do whatever we have to.

TBC

Kenny: Look, let's get our bearings and see if we can figure out a way to make it across town. Good? Good.

Omid: I, uh, don't think we can ignore what just happened to Lee. He lost a lot of blood down there.

Christa: Omid's right. If you see yourself getting woozy or...you know; if it didn't work, just...take it easy.

Lee: Okay. I'll probably just need to go a little slower. I know we can't afford dead weight. So, don't treat me like I am.

Christa: We won't.

Lee: It wasn't my favorite hand anyway.

Omid: Really? Without ol' lefty, I'd be done for.

Christa: Shut up, Omid.

Lee: Seriously, though, don't treat me any different. I got one goal, you hear me?

Christa: Yeah. We do.

Lee: Screw that. I look like I need any preferential treatment?

Omid: Well...

Lee: You could've taken my damn leg down there; it wouldn't have slowed me down a bit. You hear me?

Christa: Yeah. We do.

TBC

Christa: Now what?

Kenny: We get down and we find a little girl out there. Right, pal? Now, let's get our bearings.

Kenny: Remember when Savannah was empty? There must be thousands of them.

Ben: Did they follow us here?

Kenny: It sure seems like it.

Ben: But how?! They're dumb, aren't they? It's crazy to think they tracked us.

Kenny: Is it? That fucking train wasn't exactly discreet.

Ben: It could've picked up every walker for miles. We are so screwed!

Kenny: When haven't we been screwed? Let's just try not to screw each other.

Lee: We need to get off this roof as fast as we can.

Ben: But it's not safe down there. We can't just walk through the streets.

Lee: You planning on growing some wings.

Ben: Don't you mean "wing"?

Kenny: Ben, if cutting Lee's arm off didn't halt whatever happens to bite victims, that joke's not gonna be near as funny.

Lee: Maybe we can wait for an opening.

Ben: I don't know...we could be waiting a LONG time.

Kenny: Still, Lee's right in that we gotta pick our time and go. Unless that's too fucking scary for you.

Kenny: Lee, you know how far and in what direction the mansion is? We probably oughta start there.

Lee: It's between us and River Street, so we can stop if we have to. Retrace our steps maybe, and then get going the hotel where Clem's parents were staying.

Kenny: Look, let's get our bearings and see if we can figure out a way to make it across town. Good? Good.

Ben: Do we wanna talk about what just happened down there? He lost a lot of blood.

Kenny: If you find yourself getting winded or...worse, you gotta let us know.

Lee: Okay. I'll probably just need to go a little slower. I know we can't afford dead weight. So, don't treat me like I am.

Kenny will remember that.

Ben: If you say so.

Lee: I do.

Omid: It seems like they followed us here, but that can't be, can it?

Christa: That's crazy; they can't TRACK. They just roam.

Omid: What about the train?

Christa: What ABOUT the train?

Omid: It wasn't exactly whisper-quiet.

Christa: You think it could've brought them all to us?

Omid: Yeah. I do.

Lee: We need to get off this roof as fast as we can.

Omid: Silence is, uh, consent, I guess.

Christa: He just wants Clementine back. That's all.

Omid: Now what?

Christa: We need to get down there and find a scared little girl. Let's try to get our bearings.

Kenny: Remember when Savannah was empty?

Lee: Oh, way back then?

Kenny: Like six hours ago.

Lee: A lot's happened in the meantime.

Kenny: You wanna talk about what happened back there? You lost a lot of blood. If you find yourself getting winded or...worse, you gotta let me know.

Lee: Okay. I'll probably just need to go a little slower. I know we can't afford dead weight. So, don't treat me like I am.

Kenny: I won't.

Lee: It wasn't my favorite hand anyway.

Kenny: Well, you haven't lost your spirit.

Lee: Seriously, though, don't treat me any different. I got one goal, you hear me?

Kenny: Yeah, pal. I do.

Lee: Screw that. I look like I need any preferential treatment?

Kenny: To be honest...

Lee: You could've taken my damn leg down there; it wouldn't have slowed me down a bit. You hear me?

Kenny: Yeah, pal. I do.

Kenny: I get it, man. You just want Clementine back. Arm or no arm.

Lee: I was just showing off some acrobatic skill. Felt like a good time.

Kenny: Come on, Lee.

Lee: Just lost my footing, that's all.

Kenny: Just let me know if you start feeling funny.

Lee: I know, it's just dizziness, that's all. I'm all good.

Kenny: Good.

Lee: Well, as good as I can be.

Lee: It's the bite. I just have to deal with it.

Kenny: Just let me know if you start feeling funny.

Lee: I know, it's just dizziness, that's all. I'm all good.

Kenny: Good.

Lee: Well, as good as I can be.

Lee: Maybe we can wait for an opening.

Kenny: We might be waiting a while. But, you're right, we probably just gotta pick our time and go.

Lee: Clementine's out there, somewhere, gobbled up in all of that.

Kenny: We'll get to her, Lee. We'll do whatever we have to.

Kenny: But, hey, what's a few walkers? We'll be okay; we just gotta get moving.

Kenny: I think step one is to pick a direction. Back towards the mansion is my vote. I'm all turned around, though.

Lee: It's between us and River Street, so we can stop if we have to. Retrace our steps maybe, and then get going the hotel where Clem's parents were staying.

Kenny: Okay. We get down and we find a little girl out there. Right, pal? Now, let's get our bearings.

Ben: Hey, uh, do you wanna talk about what happened back there?

Ben: You lost a lot of blood... So, you know, if you get out of breath or...something worse starts to happen, just let me know? I'll try to help.

Lee: Okay. I'll probably just need to go a little slower. I know we can't afford dead weight. So, don't treat me like I am.

Ben: No, of course not.

Lee: It wasn't my favorite hand anyway.

Ben: Heh, been looking for an excuse to get rid of it this entire time?

Lee: That's right. Seriously, though, don't treat me any different. I got one goal, you hear me?

Ben: Yeah. I really do.

Lee: Screw that. I look like I need any preferential treatment?

Ben: Well...

Lee: You could've taken my damn leg down there; it wouldn't have slowed me down a bit. You hear me?

Ben: Yep. Loud and clear.

Ben: I guess you really want Clementine back. I'm glad I'm here to help. I'll try not to treat you any differently even though you've only got one hand now.

Lee: I was just showing off some acrobatic skill. Felt like a good time.

Ben: Come on, Lee..

Lee: Just lost my footing, that's all.

Ben: Well, let me know if you start feeling funny or...you know, anything.

Lee: I know, it's just dizziness, that's all. I'm all good.

Lee: I know, it's just dizziness, that's all. I'm all good.

Ben: Okay.

Lee: Well, as good as I can be.

Ben: There must be...thousands of them. What the hell do we do now?

Lee: We need to get off this roof as fast as we can.

Ben: Okay...but I don't know about being down there.

Lee: You're gonna have to figure out a way to deal with it.

Ben: Clementine. She'd do it for me.

Lee: Damn right she would. All fifty pounds of her.

Lee: Maybe we can wait for an opening.

Ben: And just, what, run?

Lee: I know, we gotta go. We just have to figure out a way.

Lee: I need you to suck it up, for starters. Clementine's out there, somewhere in all that mess.

Ben: You're right. She'd come after me, if I was the one that got kidnapped.

Lee: I don't think we're at risk if someone's running off with you.

Ben: Heh, I guess not.

Ben: It's, uh, just a few walkers, right? We can figure out a way to get past them.

Ben: We gotta pick a direction, though, right? I'm a little turned around after being down in the sewers. Like, where's the mansion.

Lee: It's between us and River Street, so we can stop if we have to. Retrace our steps maybe, and then get going the hotel where Clem's parents were staying.

Ben: Sounds good.

Lee: Let's try to get our bearings and figure out how we keep goin'.

Lee: Fuck...there must be thousands of them. I need to figure out a way to get down and somehow across town. Maybe head back towards the mansion and go after her from there...

Lee: Not going back in there.

The sign says "NO HELP".

Lee: Hospital must'a run outta doctors.

Lee: It's an extension ladder.

Lee: Some poor bastard took a spill.

Kenny: Yeah, looks like whoever was up here paintin' that sign went ass over tea-kettle!

Lee: He or she walked away from whatever accident happened...but that doesn't really mean much.

Lee: Here's a way down.

Kenny: Yeah, if half the dead population of Georgia wasn't wandering the streets down there.

Lee: That's the church across the street from the mansion. River Street should be just beyond that. Just need to figure out a way to get there...

Lee: That looks like Crawford square over there.

Lee: It's a belltower, like the ones Molly used to draw the walkers around the city.

Lee: No way I'm jumping that.

Talk to Christa (brought Christa and Omid)

Lee: That's the church across the street from the mansion. River Street should be just beyond that.

Christa: We need to head back that way. We'll stop off at the mansion, like you said, and make sure we didn't overlook anything.

Lee: Yeah.

Lee: I might have a way to clear us a path... If I can make it to that belltower, I can draw the walkers down to that side of the hospital. There'll be thousands of them, but it'll thin out the streets between here, the mansion, and River Street, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Lee: Just need to figure out a way to get there...

Talk to Christa again

Lee: Anything over here?

Christa: Honestly, my vision isn't great. I think it's allergies or all that shit those walkers are kicking up.

Lee: Allergies...shit. People used to get those.

Christa: I know, right. You never see anybody in an end-of-the-world story with hayfever. It's not the time to get wistful.

Lee: I know. It's this deal with Clem...it's everything; it's put this rage inside me like I can't even say. I used to get allergies too. Just...fuck. Who was that guy?

Christa: Someone with priorities?

Lee: Got any good ideas for getting through that, uh, herd?

Christa: I'm workin' on it. Are you gonna be able to hang in there?

Lee: I have to.

Lee: The mansion's that way. (points)

Christa: Yeah.

Lee: If we can use that belltower to bring them to that side of the hospital, it won't be an easy trip back toward River Street, but it wouldn't be impossible.

Christa: I'm with you. Just have to get over there.

Lee: I was thinking you and Omid wouldn't come with me.

Christa: We look out for each other, but we sure as hell weren't going to let you go alone, not with that time bomb chewed into your wrist.

Christa: We can't stop looking out for each other.

Lee: You two have been solid since day one.

Christa: What's this, day three? Four?

Lee: Well, I appreciate it.

TBC

Talk to Ben (saved Ben, brought Ben)

Lee: See anything?

Ben: There's a fire escape here; that's about it.

Lee: You still want to die?

Ben: I'm more afraid of getting someone else killed.

Lee: I'll make sure that doesn't happen, as well as I can.

Ben will remember that.

Ben: Thanks...including me?

Lee: Getting bitten's not that bad.

Ben: Really...?

Lee: No. It's a death sentence. It's horrible. But try not to worry about it.

Lee: Well, you're here. Don't get ME killed.

Ben will remember that.

Ben: I won't.

Lee: Are you afraid?

Ben: I'm still afraid of getting eaten; more than ever.

Lee: When it all comes down to it, if it's just you and Clementine for some reason, I think you'll have plenty of reason to want to live.

Ben will remember that.

Ben: Don't talk like that.

Lee: The way things have been going, I don't have any choice, Ben.

TBC

Lee: You came with me.

Ben: You didn't think I would?

Ben: It's like you said, Clementine has been my biggest...well...only real fan. I'd be a big piece of crap if I didn't...

TBC

Lee: If we use that belltower to lure all the walkers towards that side of the hospital, the road to the mansion and River Street shouldn't be too bad.

Ben: Yeah, okay...but you still have to get over there.

Lee: If we get over to that belltower, we might have some impact on all those walkers out there.

Ben: But then we just run through the streets? I dunno...

Lee: What do you think?

Ben: I think I'm staring down at my worst nightmare. Just a dusty haze of death.

Lee: Try to keep your shit together. We need to get off this roof.

TBC

Talk to Kenny (brought Kenny)

Lee: That looks like Crawford square over there.

Kenny: Fuck that place. Did fix up our boat, though. We get Clementine and get right back...

Lee: Make sure she wears her life jacket, okay? Something tells me she's not gonna want to.

Talk to Kenny again

Lee: See anything?

Kenny: Nah. I'm just, uh, taking a minute, actually. I'm sorry; I know I shouldn't.

Lee: What's going on?

Kenny: Just...everything. Ah, fuck, man. You know.

Lee: I do.

Kenny: I can't thank you enough for what you did for Duck. I don't know how I'd be if you hadn't--

Lee: I'm...glad I was the one who did it. I can tell myself forever that I saved him from the worst of it.

Kenny: I just... I keep thinking about Duck, ya know? I mean we just left--

Lee: Don't dwell on it.

Kenny: I look at where we are, right now, and I can't imagine Kat and Duck in all this mess.

Lee: Ken--

Kenny: No. I'm sorry. We're in a fucking hurry to get off this roof; it's not the time. I'm sorry. I'm okay.

Lee: The mansion's that way; the belltower's over there; if we go down the opposite side of the roof, we might be able to make it without too much trouble.

Kenny: I can do that, yeah.

Lee: There's a belltower over there.

Kenny: We know what those do.

Lee: Yeah, could be part of how we get through the streets.

Kenny: Yeah.

Lee: How many you think are wandering around underneath us right now?

Kenny: In the hospital? Thousands. Who knows? It was full of dead before, right?

Lee: Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Kenny: And out there? Look at that dust. Fuck, man, who knows?

Lee: Any thoughts about...anything else?

Kenny: Nah, I'm alright. Just needed to take a second. I'll keep an eye out over here. Sorry.

TBC

Talk to Omid (brought Omid and Christa)

Lee: What's up over here?

Omid: Belltower. That's what's up.

Lee: Hm. Yeah. That could help.

Talk to Omid again

Lee: Hey.

Lee: I think you're Clem's favorite, you know that?

Omid will remember that.

Omid: Really?

Lee: Yeah, she's a big fan. You get away with shit I never would.

Omid: We're getting her back, Lee. You know that, right?

Lee: Yeah.

Omid: When we get this fucker, we'll get out of sight and leave you with him. You get me?

Lee: I get you.

Lee: How's the leg?

Omid: It's doing a lot better. Thanks for going into Crawford for me, even if it wasn't entirely FOR me. Clementine, too. She's tough as hell.

Lee: Isn't she?

Omid: Yeah. Don't worry more than you should about her, okay?

Lee: I'll see if we can make it out to that belltower.

Omid: Okay, be careful, though; I don't want you going any sooner than you have to.

Lee: Thanks.

TBC

Lee looks at or tries to jump to the belltower.

Lee: With the belltower on this side of the hospital...and the mansion over there...hmm. That might be our way off this rooftop. If I can make it to that belltower, I can draw the walkers down to that side of the hospital. There'll be thousands of them, but it'll thin out the streets between here, the mansion, and River Street, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Lee: No way. It's higher than this roof, for starters.

Lee picks up the ladder.

Kenny: Whoa, you need some help with that?

Omid: You need a hand with that?

Ben: Can I help with that?

Lee: I got it.

Lee extends the ladder over the gap between the roof and the belltower.

Christa: The bells...

Lee: Yeah, could buy us some time. Draw as many as we can this way, get down off the roof on the opposite side and bust our asses getting back to the mansion.

Kenny: You think you should be the one to go?

Christa: You shouldn't be the one to go.

Omid: My leg's feeling better, let me do it.

Ben: I'll do it.

Kenny: Yeah, Ben'll do it.

Ben: You're gonna use the belltower to bring them this way?

Lee: Yeah, could buy us some time. Draw as many as we can this way, get down off the roof on the opposite side and bust our asses getting back to the mansion.

Kenny: You think you should be the one to go?

Ben: I'll do it.

Kenny: Yeah, Ben'll do it.

Ben: You're gonna use the belltower to bring them this way?

Lee: Yeah, could buy us some time. Draw as many as we can this way, get down off the roof on the opposite side and bust our asses getting back to the mansion.

Ben: Let me go.

Lee: No.

Kenny: The belltower?

Lee: Yeah, could buy us some time. Draw as many as we can this way, get down off the roof on the opposite side and bust our asses getting back to the mansion.

Kenny: You think you should be the one to go? Let me do it.

Lee: No.

Lee: If we have to decide who takes a risk like this, it should be the buy who's got the least to lose. What's the worst that could happen, I get bitten again?

Lee: So we're agreed, then.

Lee: If anything happens to me, you're the only chance she's got.

Kenny: Be careful.

Ben: Be careful.

Lee: Okay, Lee. Now is not the time to fall on your fucking face again.

Lee: It should be able to get me across the gap.

Christa: I don't like anything about this.

TBC

TBC

Lee climbs onto the ladder.

Kenny: Why the hell are we lettin' the one-armed guy do all the high-risk maneuvers?

Lee: 'Cause the one-armed guy insists. Now shut up about it.

Kenny: That thing looks a little rickety.

Lee: Maybe keep that shit to yourself next time?

Kenny: Yup.

Omid: Maybe we should have someone more...able-bodied doing that. You sure you're up for it, Lee?

Lee: Say that again and you're gonna find out.

Omid: Fair enough.

Ben: You sure you should be the one doing that?

Lee: What? You wanna do it?

Ben: No, just...never mind.

Christa: Hurry.

Kenny: Yeah, what she said.

TBC

TBC

TBC

Lee climbs up the ladder; as he reaches the halfway point, the extensions of the ladder starts to break.

Lee: Oh, shit!

Lee jumps to the belltower as the ladder falls onto the street below, crushing a walker.

Lee: Ah, fuck.

Omid: Holy shit, man!

Christa: Are you okay?!

Lee: Yeah...I'm fine.

Lee: Was wishin' I had my other hand.

Omid: No shit!

Omid: Try to find another way out of there.

Kenny: Jesus, you alright?

Lee: Yeah...I'm fine.

Lee: Was wishin' I had my other hand.

Kenny: No kiddin'.

Kenny: Try to find another way out.

Ben: Oh, man, that was close! Are you okay?!

Lee: Yeah...I'm fine.

Lee: Was wishin' I had my other hand.

Ben: I bet!

Ben: Maybe there's another way out?

Lee: A few solid rings of this and there'll be thousands down below.

Lee: Walkers are all headed this way. I gotta get out of this tower.

Lee: It's locked. Shit.

Lee: The exit in here's locked!

Lee pulls the rope to ring the bell. Walkers move toward the sound.

Christa: They're coming this way!

Omid: Tons of them! Jesus!

Christa: Now get back here!

Kenny: That did the trick, pal. Now get back here!

Ben: They're coming this way! How are you getting out of there?!

Lee: I think I have to jump! There's no way back!

Lee: I think I have to jump. Goddamn.

Kenny: You can make it! It ain't that far!

Christa: Fuck, be careful!

Ben: WHAT?!

Lee: It's the only way!

Lee: It's not that far. Just a little hop.

Lee: You got this. You got this, motherfucker.

Lee: I'm so fucked.

Lee says nothing.

Lee: Fuck, man. I don't know if I can make it.

Kenny: You got it, Lee!

Kenny: You gotta do this, pal!

Kenny: What are you waitin' for?!

Kenny: Just one big leap!

Kenny: JUMP!

Christa: You can do it, Lee!

Omid: You can do it!

Ben: Hurry!

Ben: You can do it!

Ben: It's, uh, not that far!

Ben: One, two, THREE!

Ben: I believe in you!

Lee backs up, runs at full speed and jumps.

Lee grabs onto the ledge on the other side and pulls himself up.

Kenny: Good goddamn leap, pal. Let's get the hell off this roof!

Christa: Nice! Now let's get the hell out of here!

Ben: WOW! You okay? Okay, we should probably get goin'.

Lee: Okay, time to go.

Kenny grabs Lee's arm and pulls him over the ledge.

Kenny: I GOTCHA! Let's get the hell off this roof!

Christa grabs Lee's arm and pulls him over the ledge.

Omid: Damn, that was close!

Christa: Now let's get the hell out of here!

Ben grabs Lee's arm and pulls him over the ledge.

Ben: Holy shit! That was too close! Okay, we should probably get goin'.

Lee and the group runs across the roof and goes down the fire escape.

House

Lee and the group return to the house. Lee shoots a walker nearby. He/they reach the shed. If Lee brought everyone, the shed door is open and the boat is gone; if he left at least one person behind, the shed door is closed, with a shovel stuck between the handles.

Christa: Holy...

Kenny: What the fuck?! Come on...just...come the FUCK on...

Christa: Well, we're not coming back here after we find Clem.

Kenny: Who? Fuck! How could this happen?

Lee: This was Vernon.

Christa: You think so?

Lee: Definitely.

Lee: It's the guy on the radio, the one that's got Clem...they're gone...holy shit, they're gone...

Christa: Relax...

Christa noticed your panic.

Lee: Clementine...she gave him the boat...she...

Christa: I don't think she would do that...

Christa noticed your panic.

TBC

Omid: Hey, guys... (reads note in the shed)

Omid: Lee's right. It was Vernon and that support group.

Omid: No, it wasn't the guy on the radio. It was Vernon.

Omid: No, Clementine's not with the boat. Vernon and his crew took it.

TBC

Kenny: No fucking way! THE INVALIDS?!

Omid: Their actions, uh, contradict your characterization, but, yeah, the invalids.

Christa: He's right; they're not invalids. They're just people. People who have been dealing with shitty situations even longer than we have. No wonder they got the jump on us.

Kenny: I don't give a fuck if their Make-A-Wish was a fucking boat ride, when I find 'em, I'm gonna rip their throats out.

Christa: We'll never find them.

Lee: Fuck 'em. Cancer, no cancer, saints, sinners, who gives a shit. They're people who knew what they were doin'.

Kenny: Yeah. SCREWING us.

Lee: We would've done the same.

Kenny: Not like this! We wouldn't leave good people to rot!

Lee: We've taken food, we've killed to survive, what's the difference?

Kenny: It's DIFFERENT.

Kenny: Says the guy who wouldn't take a box of food from an abandoned car.

Lee: Things have changed.

Lee: I can't believe they did this to us.

Kenny: It's sick! It really is. They use your goddamn SYMPATHY for sick folks and then stab us right in the back.

Christa: They didn't "use" shit--they did what anybody would've done. They've been living like ghosts forever and they were fed up. That's it.

Lee says nothing.

Omid: He says he feels bad about it. Leaving us...AND Clementine behind.

Omid: He says he feels bad about leaving Clementine behind, but the boat was an opportunity they couldn't pass up.

Christa: Vernon probably planned this out the second he laid eyes on that boat.

Kenny: They fucked us.

Kenny: YOU MOTHERFUCKERS...

Kenny: Fuck! Damn! Son of a...

Christa: OPEN, DAMN IT.

Lee: Hello? Who the fuck is in there?

Kenny: Get this fucking thing open! Those fuckers! Goddamn it, LEE!

Lee: Kenny?

Kenny: OPEN THE DOOR!

Lee takes out the shovel and opens the doors. The boat is gone. Christa, Omid, and Kenny leave the shed; Kenny has a black eye.

Lee: What the f--

Kenny: They fucked us.

Lee: What?! WHO?

Christa: It was Vernon. They were waiting for us and jumped us. They were armed and just--

Kenny: FUCK.

Lee: Did they have Clementine?

Omid: No. Definitely not. She's not with you?

Lee: She's with someone else. Her parents were in Savannah and I think someone used that against her.

Christa: Well, we're going after her, right?

Lee: Yeah, of course.

Kenny: WAIT; what the hell happened to you?!

Lee: Cut it off.

Kenny: Seriously?

Lee: I was bitten...

Kenny: What...?

Lee: It was an accident. A small, stupid thing. But yeah.

Kenny: Oh, my god.

Christa: Before we split up?

Lee: Yes.

Christa: You fucker! God, we would've gone with you...

Lee: Yeah.

Lee: I lived through it; which is a start. And, well...

Lee: I thought it might buy me some time; you know, get that bite off my body and hopefully whatever is gonna happen takes longer.

They will remember that.

Lee: I passed out and realized the bite was just going to slow me down. I might still be fucked, but, honestly, I feel better.

They will remember that.

Lee: I thought it might save my life. I was lucky to get bit down on the wrist, far from anything important. But who knows.

They will remember that.

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: God...everything just...

Kenny: What the fuck is that on your wrist?

Lee: I was bitten...

Kenny: What...?

Lee: It was an accident. A small, stupid thing. But yeah.

Kenny: Oh, my god.

Christa: Before we split up?

Lee: Yes.

Christa: You fucker! God, we would've gone with you...

Lee: We're all gonna end up one of two ways.

Christa: That's great that you can be tough about it, but how do you FEEL?

Lee: It's definitely having an impact. I passed out a couple times. Just feeling like shit in general. But I've got time. Let's not worry about it.

Christa will remember that.

Lee: It comes in waves. I took a couple spills getting back here, so keep an eye on me.

Christa will remember that.

Lee: I'm fine; what's done is done. We have to focus on finding Clementine.

Christa will remember that.

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: God...everything just...

Christa: OPEN, DAMN IT.

Lee takes out the shovel and opens the doors. The boat is gone. Christa and Omid leave the shed.

Kenny: What the fuck?!

Omid: Vernon. His entire crew. They took the boat.

Lee: I was bitten...

Lee: With someone else. We're going after her.

Kenny: Fuck, just... Jesus.

Omid: Wait, the cancer patients did this?

Kenny: Yeah, they were waiting. Tired of living underground, I guess. They kicked the shit out of me and tossed me in here.

Ben: Kicked the shit out of BOTH of us...

Kenny: WAIT; what the hell happened to you?!

Lee: Cut it off.

Kenny: Seriously?

Lee: I was bitten...

Kenny: What...?

Kenny: How are you doing with...everything happening there?

Christa: We were going to cut it off, but Lee objected.

Ben: Come on...please...

Lee takes out the shovel and opens the doors. The boat is gone. Ben leaves the shed.

Kenny: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Ben: Don't get mad...the boat's gone.

Kenny: No shit it's gone!

Christa: Relax! Ben, what happened?

Ben: They were waiting for me in here.

Christa: Who?

Ben: Vernon. His whole crew.

Lee: Was Clementine with them?!

Ben: No. He seemed pissed you guys lost her, and...well, they took it; they're gone.

Kenny: BEN, you are WORTHLESS.

Ben: Where's Lee's arm?

Kenny: He was bitten, and we cut it off.

Ben: What?!

Ben: What happened to your arm?

Kenny: We cut it off. Ben, I could just KILL you right now.

Ben: How is Lee feeling?

Kenny: Don't change the subject.

Ben: Whoa, what's that on Lee's wrist?

Christa: He was bitten.

Ben: What?!

Kenny: Don't change the subject.

Kenny: I can't believe you didn't even put up a fight.

Christa: Omid, can you go over the fence and let us into the backyard? We shouldn't be out in the open.

Omid: Yeah. (leaves to do as Christa asked)

Kenny: This is not happening...everything is so fucked...

Christa: Clementine is still out there.

Kenny: So we get Clementine and then what?!

Christa: We get the fuck out of cities. I'm done with cities. We go into the countryside and make a go of it.

Ben: Yeah, that seems like a good idea to me.

Kenny: Nobody asked you.

Ben: You just did.

Kenny: Don't get fucking smart with me, Ben.

Christa: Chill.

Kenny: Do you remember we had a boat?! A BOAT!

Ben: Get over it!

Kenny: I don't want to go back out there again.

Christa: Then don't. Go your own way.

Kenny: You're "every man for himself" until you and your boyfriend actually need something!

Christa: You wouldn't have a boat to lose without us, so shove it, okay?

Lee: Everyone keep it together. Nothing has changed, has it?

Kenny: Nothing has changed?!

Lee: I mean, immediately. We stay the course. Don't turn on each other.

Ben: Yeah, chill out, Kenny.

Lee: Worry about the boat after. You can scour the goddamn coast looking for them.

Kenny: I'll make that bastard wish the cancer had got him.

Lee: You're welcome to, just calm down for a second.

Ben: Yeah, chill out, Kenny.

Lee: Christa's right. The boat was a pipe dream; we still go after Clem and then we all get out of Savannah and rethink our entire plan.

Kenny: RETHINK?! How about we just THINK for once?

Lee: That what I'm saying we do! Calm down, Kenny.

Ben: Yeah, chill.

Lee says nothing.

Omid opens the door of the shed leading into the backyard.

Christa: We can do this in the yard.

Kenny: Ben, I swear to god...

Everyone but Christa and Lee enter the backyard.

Christa: What do we do without a boat?

Lee: Get to the countryside. We've dicked around with cities and coastlines and boats too long. Take her out there and live as safe as you can, okay?

Christa likes that.

Christa: Look. I agree with you, I think out in the country is the safest place to be. But you're not dead yet, so put a pin in that, okay?

Lee: Find a small town, maybe one that hasn't been ripped up too bad. At some point people are gonna have to start rebuilding, and you guys and Clem should be a part of that.

Christa isn't sure about that.

Christa: I don't know...

Lee: Gotta have hope.

Christa: We all do--even you. Quit talking like you're already dead.

Lee: That wasn't the last boat in America. The idea was sound before and it's sound now. The mainland is done and we have no idea what else is out there.

Christa isn't sure about that.

Christa: Boats, towns, hopes... Lee, people end up dead chasing impossible things.

Lee: It'll be better than getting eaten alone, out there.

Christa: I know you're probably preoccupied, but don't stop thinking about the future, okay?

Christa and Lee enter the backyard; Kenny and Ben are arguing.

Kenny: Where the hell do you get off?

Ben: I'm just saying we should ALL chill, not just you.

Kenny: CHILL? "Bandits, hey, CHILL, here's some pills!" "Vernon, CHILL, here's our fucking BOAT."

Ben: This isn't my fault.

Kenny: I can't point to one THING that's happened that isn't somehow your fault. Lee should've left you in Crawford.

Kenny: CHILL? Lee's bitten and god knows how long HE has left, Clementine is who the fuck knows, and we're robbed of the only hope we've had.

Ben: So?

Kenny: So, Lee should've left your ass in Crawford. We got enough problems.

Ben: FUCK YOU, KENNY!

Lee: Whoa, Ben--

Christa: No, let him.

Lee: Careful, guys--

Christa: No, let him.

Lee: Kenny, stop--

Christa: No, let him.

TBC

Ben: I am so, so, SO sorry about Katjaa and Duck, I AM. And I know I fucked up, but STOP pushing me around and STOP wishing I was dead. (Kenny is about to speak) NO! You know how they died. You've said goodbye, I never got to see my family, my parents, my little sister...do you get that? Your family is gone, but at least you had them to lose. I never made it home. They could be alive or dead or walkers or WORSE and I DON'T KNOW. SO GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK!

Kenny: Aw, Ben, I'm--

The group enters the backyard.

Christa: What do you think, Lee, what do we do now, without a boat?

Kenny: Well, I know you two are just gonna look out for number one. And...number two. You know, yourselves.

Omid: It's not like that, man.

Kenny: Bullshit it's not.

Christa: Don't engage him, Omid.

Omid: There's other shit at play, alright?

Kenny: What, you got the boat hidden somewhere?

Omid: Shut up, dude.

Kenny: Watch your mouth.

Christa: Get out of town at least, right?

Lee: Get to the countryside. We've dicked around with cities and coastlines and boats too long. Take her out there and live as safe as you can, okay?

Omid and Christa like that.

Omid: Yeah, we gotta get out into some open spaces.

Christa: You know that's what I'm for.

Kenny: This is bullshit; he might not even be around, so--with all due respect, Lee--his opinion doesn't carry a lot of weight.

Christa: Hey. It's still his little girl out there. She's number one. That's the end of that, okay?

Kenny: But what about--

Lee: Find a small town, maybe one that hasn't been ripped up too bad. At some point people are gonna have to start rebuilding, and you guys and Clem should be a part of that.

Omid likes that.

Christa: I don't know...

Omid: Lee's right, Christa. We've been so goddamn scared of strangers for so long, but at one point, we gotta take our chances, right?

Kenny: This is bullshit; he might not even be around, so--with all due respect, Lee--his opinion doesn't carry a lot of weight.

Christa: Hey. It's still his little girl out there. She's number one. That's the end of that, okay?

Kenny: But what about--

Lee: That wasn't the last boat in America. The idea was sound before and it's sound now. The mainland is done and we have no idea what else is out there.

Kenny likes that.

Omid: I don't want to get us all killed on some impossible mission.

Lee: It'll be better than getting eaten alone, out there.

Kenny: At least Lee's thinking. You're goddamn right, we get another boat.

Christa: But not here.

Omid: Aren't we all missing the point right now? Clementine is the goal. That's it.

Lee: Damn right.

Kenny: This is bullshit; he might not even be around, so--with all due respect, Lee--his opinion doesn't carry a lot of weight.

Christa: Hey. It's still his little girl out there. She's number one. That's the end of that, okay?

Kenny: But what about--

A herd approaches the house.

Christa: Oh, shit, here they come.

Omid: In the house!

Kenny: They shouldn't be able to get into the backyard, right? (hears walkers) Maybe not.

Christa: We can secure this place!

Lee: Christa!

Lee: Get on the windows in the front room. Check the boards.

Christa: Got it.

Christa will remember that.

Lee: Get upstairs; make sure nobody's here!

Christa: On it.

Christa will remember that.

Lee: Search the house for weapons!

Christa: On it.

Christa will remember that.

Christa: Gah, I'm checking the living room. Everyone else, look for weapons!

Christa noticed that.

Lee: Kenny!

(If Lee didn't tell Christa to get weapons.)

Lee: Look for weapons! Gather anything you can find!

Kenny: Will do!

(If Lee didn't tell Christa to get upstairs.)

Lee: Go upstairs! Secure whatever you can and make sure we're alone.

Kenny: Done!

Lee: Move anything you can up against the doors and windows.

Kenny: That's what I was thinking!

Lee: Help Christa!

Kenny: Will do!

Kenny: I'm gonna keep the front room locked down!

Lee: Ben!

(If Lee didn't tell Kenny to move furniture.)

Lee: Move anything you can up against the doors and windows.

Ben: Got it!

(If Lee didn't tell Kenny to help Christa.)

Lee: Help Christa!

Ben: Got it!

Lee: Go upstairs!

Ben: And do what?!

Lee: Just go!

Lee: Kill anything that gets in!

Ben: You know you're talking to ME, right?

Lee: Ben, just DO it.

Ben: I'll just, uh, do...something!

Lee: Omid!

Omid is staring at something, shocked.

Lee: What is it?

Omid runs to close an open door.

Lee: FRONT DOORS!

Lee: EVERYONE, HELP OMID! NOW!

Lee: GO! NOW! FRONT HALLWAY!

Omid: Everyone help me!

Lee starts to run, but falls on his back as a walker reaches through the pet door and grabs his leg. Lee repeatedly kicks the pet door with his other leg until the walker's arm is severed. Lee gets up; everyone else is holding the front doors closed as walkers reach through.

Kenny: LEE, HELP!

Christa: Cut their fucking arms off!

Omid: There's gotta be a knife or something in there!

Christa: HURRY!

Lee can open two other drawers but find them empty.

Lee opens the top drawer and takes the cleaver.

Kenny: Take their goddamn arms off!

Lee chops off the walker's hands and group pushes the doors all the way closed.

Omid: Now what?

Lee: Get ready to fight.

Christa: This place seems sturdy to me. I think we're fine.

Lee: This is a big, sturdy house. It'll hold.

Christa: Yeah, I think so too.

Lee: Shhh. Everybody. We have to hide and then find a way out.

Christa: Lee's right; this place is secure. We're patient and then we get going.

Lee says nothing.

A walker's arm crashes through a nearby window. More walkers break down the door and climb through the windows.

Lee: Sturdy, my ass!

Omid: SHIT!

Lee: Fuck! New plan!

Lee: Get upstairs!

Kenny: GO!

Everyone but Lee runs upstairs; he kills walker Brie, then joins the others, who are shooting at the walkers. Kenny is trying to push a desk.

Kenny: GUYS, help me with this!

Lee and Kenny push the desk.

Kenny: Goddamnit, Lee!

Omid: He's only got one fucking arm!

Kenny: None of that's about to matter!

Omid helps Kenny push the desk.

Christa: Everyone get to the end of the hallway!

Ben: What do we do now?!

Kenny pushes a desk into the hallway.

Kenny: This'll slow 'em down. We get to the end of the hallway...and take a fucking stand.

Everyone gathers at the end of the hallway with their weapons drawn.

Lee: We can't let ourselves get trapped.

Kenny: Let's get as many as we can. And when we see an opening, we go for it. How many bullets y'all have?

Christa: Three.

Lee: Five.

Omid: Four.

Ben: Two.

Kenny: Y'all know where to aim.

Christa: Get ready.

Walkers approach the group and everyone fires at them, eventually running out of ammo.

Christa: I'm out!

Kenny: Me too!

Omid: Fuck, where do we go?!

Kenny: There's no goddamn opening!

Christa: UP!

Lee pulls the string that opens the attic door.

Lee: GO!

Everyone runs to the attic; Lee drops his gun while climbing up the stairs. He closes the attic door.

Ben: (offers gun) Here, um...I'm not good with these. You dropped it down there.

Kenny: That could've gone better.

Christa: Everyone okay?

Kenny: Lee's still bitten.

Christa: Shut up.

Omid: Okay, let's get out of here and keep moving.

Kenny: Kid's right; we gotta keep moving. Think there's any chance we get Clem and catch up to those goddamn thieves?

Lee: I don't know. Maybe.

Omid: Well, we're not going out through this window. No latches, no roof access, and thirty feet straight down.

Kenny: Anyone have any ideas?

Omid: (looking at statue bust) I bet this guy would. He's got a resourceful air about him.

Christa: Knock it off.

Omid: (reading plaque on the bust) Dixon Kent the III, industrial--

Christa: OMID.

Omid: CHRISTA. I'm just trying to lighten the fucking tone.

Christa: We need SOLUTIONS, not stupid jokes. I'm sorry.

Kenny: So, no ideas, then.

Lee: We shouldn't have come up here.

Kenny: Where else would we have gone? The streets are a river of walkers and they were comin' in from all sides.

Lee: There's gotta be another way.

Christa: Check the floor for any other access, a vent, anything.

Kenny: Or we wait for the house to clear out and stick to the high ground.

Lee: Can't we fight our way back through the house? I've got a weapon, what else do we have?

Christa: Not much.

Kenny: It'd be a goddamn mess going back down there.

Christa: We're no good to Clementine dead.

Lee says nothing.

Christa: Hey... (puts hand on Lee's forehead) You're not looking great. And you're warm.

Lee: Back off, I'm--

Lee: I'm okay, don't--

Lee: Hey, don't start--

Christa: I'm sure you're--

The radio crackles.

Clementine: Lee, Lee, Lee, I'm okay, I'm where my parents--oh, no!

Kenny: Whoa, Lee, you okay?

Lee: Yeah, yeah, I'm--I'm gonna...have to...just...

Lee passes out and wakes up a short time later when the radio crackles.

Clementine: Lee. Lee. Lee! Lee! Lee! I'm okay, I'm where my parents--oh, no!

Ben: Lee, get up!

Kenny: Did you hear that?

Lee: Yeah, I did.

Christa: What did that mean?

Lee: She's at the hotel where her parents were staying; he hasn't moved her.

Kenny: Yet.

Christa: Yeah, yet.

Kenny: We need to start thinking about more than just Clementine when it comes to our...urgency.

Omid: What do you mean?

Kenny: How do we get out of here?

Omid: That's the whole point; we don't know.

Kenny: Okay, now your life depends on it. How do you get out of here?

Omid: I don't know. I don't get it.

Christa: I do.

Lee: We have to go, NOW. Like, right this goddamn minute.

They will remember that.

Kenny: WHERE, Lee? Come on! We're trapped.

Lee: Stop it. We can't panic.

They will remember that.

(Said to fight through the house.)

Lee: I guess I'll fight my way out ALONE, then.

They will remember that.

Christa: Calm down.

Lee: Don't tell me to calm down. We're trapped, damn it!

Kenny: Lee's right, Christa.

(Said there's gotta be another way/said nothing.)

Lee: Like I said, everyone needs to keep looking for a way out, damn it. We're trapped in here.

They will remember that.

(Said they shouldn't have come up.)

Lee: We shouldn't have come up here. We're trapped.

Christa: Calm down.

Kenny: Lee's right.

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: Do you think that worked?

Lee: I...I don't know. I hope so.

Kenny: How long you think we have?

Lee: What? I...I don't know.

Kenny: We should've cut it off. At least then there would've been a chance.

Lee: Well, you didn't, and it's too late now.

Lee: I thought about cutting it off, but I didn't.

Kenny: You could've cut it off?!

Ben: Maybe I should have made you cut it off...

Kenny: You could've cut it off?!

Ben: Yeah. There were tools. Lee didn't want to.

Lee: Well, you didn't, and it's too late now.

Kenny: I think we need to have...an "adult" conversation about what happens if Lee takes another spill.

Omid: Hey, look...

Kenny: We could be looking at a Larry situation here.

Christa: Who's Larry?

Kenny: It don't matter.

Omid: He looks fine to me...

Lee: We don't need to talk about it.

Kenny: I think we do.

Lee: I said we don't.

Lee: I think it'd be best if we just worried about getting to Clem right now.

Kenny: We're not gonna do her any good if you've attacked us.

Lee: That isn't gonna happen.

Kenny: How do you know that?

Lee: Okay, what do you wanna do?

Kenny: Just...talk about it.

Lee: Does that conversation end with me getting something dropped on my head?

Kenny: Now, HEY--

Lee says nothing.

Christa: GUYS. I don't know what happened before Omid and I showed up, but we can cross that bridge when we get to it.

Kenny: Lee, I'm not advocating anything here... But how is this not a thing? We're all so worked up about Clementine that we're forgetting what the fuck happened to you!

Lee: I'm really glad I've got you looking out for me, for Clem. This is just fucking great.

Kenny: Relax, Lee.

Lee: My arm is not the issue. I'm not the problem. The five hundred walkers in the house and no door in this room are the goddamn PROBLEM.

Kenny: Yeah, maybe at the moment...but who's to say when it becomes an issue? And at that point, there may not be any time left to deal with it!

Lee: What if it was you and it was Duck out there?

Kenny: Whoa there, friend.

Lee: I bet you'd rather stay focused on the problem and not have people turn on you.

Lee says nothing.

Omid: This is getting out of hand...

Kenny: You're gonna listen to ME. We will get Clementine back, with or without you. Because I haven't given up EVERYTHING to die because we were stupid.

Lee: Then kill me, you son of a bitch, okay? Don't even fucking hesitate.

Kenny: I WILL.

Lee: You're not touching me. Do you understand that? You know EXACTLY what to do if I turn and that's enough. Do you hear me?

Kenny: You might become one of them. Do you understand that? How can you be fucking calm about that?!

Lee: I'm sorry, okay?! Fuck! We can't do this!

Kenny: We're gonna have to!

Lee says nothing.

Lee picks up the bust and throws it at the wall.

Kenny picks up the bust and throws it at the wall.

Omid: You ruined that dude's face.

Christa: Shut up, sweetie. Look.

Kenny examines the hole in the wall and pulls out another chunk of the wall.

Kenny: It's corroded to hell.

Christa: What's on the other side of this wall, a thirty-foot drop?

Omid: No, this mansion butts up against the one next door.

Kenny: I'll be damned.

Christa: We're not lifers on Alcatraz here; we can't spend the next three months digging through a wall.

Kenny: If the rest is as dilapidated as this, we might not have to. Let's see...

Lee smashes the wall with a coat rack, then inspects the damage.

Lee: This wall ain’t shit.

Omid: Is this really possible...?

Kenny smashes the wall with a coat rack.

Kenny: Yeah. We can do this.

Lee: Okay.

Kenny: We'll work in shifts. Omid, Christa, and I. Lee, you rest. We have to work fast.

Kenny continues breaking the wall with the coat rack.

Lee: I'm sorry.

Kenny: Me too. I get it. Go sit down.

Lee: Don't come near me with that thing.

Lee: I wasn't going to hurt you.

Kenny: Sure, pal. I know.

Lee says nothing.

Lee sits on one of the couches across from Christa and Omid. If Ben was saved he sits on the floor in the corner.

Christa: I'm glad you told us when you got bitten, it would've been easy not to.

Lee: Yeah, well...

Christa: We probably would've let you go alone if you hadn't told us. Which would've been a mistake.

Omid: If I were you I would've been scared shitless.

Lee: I was. The fucking thing...it happened so fast. You ever almost hit someone in a crosswalk?

Omid: Almost...?

Christa: His license was suspended. Twice.

Lee: Just...WHAM, the thing was on me. Never saw it; like someone in your blindspot.

Lee: If you were me you'd be a foot taller.

Omid: Hey!

Lee: And about fifty pounds heavier. You, uh, wouldn't get scared as much.

Omid: With your arm and my leg, I'll cripple fight you right here, buddy.

Lee: I've still got this one. I can put my right palm on your forehead and just let you swing away.

Omid: Ha, fine...you win, jerk.

Lee: I would’ve had to chop this one off for you to even stand a chance.

Lee: I am.

Omid: And when it happened?

Lee: I panicked. But now...I feel it inside me. Like the day before you get the flu.

Omid: That's horrible.

Christa: I don't know, sweetie; you're scared shitless by so many little things that I like to think you triumph with the big ones.

Omid: Aw, jeez, hon, thanks.

Christa: I can't believe you didn't tell us you were bitten.

Lee: You couldn't do anything anyway.

Christa: No. Except make sure Clementine had someone coming for her that wasn't liable to die on the way there.

Lee: I wasn't gonna let that happen.

Christa: I'm sure that's what that Larry guy or whoever said.

Lee: He wasn't bitten. It was different.

Lee: It was my business.

Christa: Not ours? Not Clementine's?

Lee: I didn't want to scare anyone.

Christa: Because you were scared yourself.

Lee: I'd been bitten by a walker.

Christa: You thought we'd turn on you.

Lee: Sure.

Christa: Well, it was a dumb thing to do. Omid and I have shown you who we are. You could've trusted us.

Christa: You were scared. I don't blame you.

Omid: I would be scared shitless.

Christa: It's so weird; I keep doing a double-take on your arm, expecting it to be there.

Lee: I'm hoping whatever's in their bite is gone too.

Christa: What do you think the odds are of that?

Lee: I don't know. I know everyone's wondering. Even if it just slows down the process, I'd be happy.

Christa: You don't mean that.

Christa: You wish you would've taken it off?

Lee: Don't think it matters much now. I'm losing a lot of feeling in it.

Omid: Really?

Lee: Yeah. It's hot, like when you break a bone, but tingly, like it's asleep.

Omid: So when we get this guy...what do you think?

Lee: We just get Clementine; that's the focus. Despite how I feel, I can't let vengeance be a thing.

Omid: Sure, but if it's not that easy...

Lee: We'll do whatever it takes.

Lee: We figure out who he is and why he's doing this; we can rescue Clem, but she won't be safe if this guy's not gonna stop.

Omid: So, did your crew get into any shit before you met up with us?

Lee: Is it possible to have survived and not gotten into some shit?

Lee: We make sure he never takes anybody from anyone again. World's got enough evil in it.

Omid: Well, I trust you'll do what's right.

Omid: And...you know...whatever happens to you...uh...

Christa: Seriously, can we not talk like that?

Christa: The entire time we were at the hospital I could sense you think you're as good as dead.

Lee: I was bitten, Christa.

Christa: You cut it off.

Lee: What good is it to plan around that workin'?

Christa: What good is it for you to give up?

Lee: I haven't given up.

Lee: I'm bitten, Christa. We all know that's a wrap.

Christa: There's gotta be somethin'.

Lee: I want you guys to take her.

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Christa: Stop it.

Lee: I'm serious. She'd be safe and relatively happy with you two.

Christa: We're not doing this right now.

Omid: Christa. Listen to him.

Lee: It's what I want. Okay?

Lee: I want Kenny to look after her.

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Christa: Stop it.

Lee: Do you hear me?

Omid: Are you sure, man?

Lee: You didn't see him with his family. What he'd do to protect them.

Christa: We're not doing this right now.

Omid: Christa. Listen to him.

Lee: It's what I want. Okay?

Lee:' Find her a family, okay? Somewhere she'll be safe.

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Christa: Don't do this.

Lee: I want you to hear me.

Christa: I hear you, but I'm not having this conversation.

Omid: Christa. We could look after her.

Lee: As long as she has a family. You hear me?

Omid: Yeah. Of course.

Omid: We'll make sure she's safe, Lee. If that's what you're worried about.

Christa: He's not. We're not having that conversation yet.

Omid: What about him?

Lee: He'll figure himself out one way or another.

Christa: What do you mean by that?

Lee: He'll either get his act together or something will happen to him.

Christa: That's it?

Lee: What else is there to say?

Lee: What do you two think?

Christa: He's a risk to the group, but--

Omid: I feel bad for him.

Christa: Yeah, I feel bad for him, too.

Lee: We gotta support him. He's only a kid still; it's easy to forget that.

Christa: Poor kid. Even if he's a bit of a dumbass.

Omid: He lose his shit like that often?

Lee: No, that was a first.

Christa: It's good that he did; Kenny couldn't pull that shit on me.

Lee: The kid killed his family, so there's been some tension there.

Omid: Really...? What happened?

Lee: Kenny's son got bitten during a raid by some gang that Ben was secretly helping. They used him. Kenny's wife...died because of their son.

Christa: Jesus...

Lee: Kenny's been horrible to him. He blames Ben for his family's death and...it's just more complicated than that.

Lee: He better not do it again. He ruined Kenny's life; outbursts like that aren't fucking appropriate.

Omid: You do feel bad for him, though, right?

Lee says nothing.

Omid: Well, it seems like it got through to Kenny. Whatever that's good for.

Kenny approaches the group.

Kenny: Alright, I'm outta gas. You look good and rested.

Omid: Sure, if you don't count an infected leg.

Christa: You want me to do it?

Omid: Nah, hon, you can hop in after me.

Omid takes over smashing the wall with the coat rack, and Kenny takes his seat on the couch.

Kenny: Shouldn't be long now. It's good we're forced to take a breath.

Kenny: That, uhh...feelin' any better?

Lee: I can handle it; the pain, that is. I'm just really goddamn tired.

Lee: Still feels pretty recently chopped. So, no, Kenny. It feels 'bout as good as you'd expect.

Lee: What the hell do you think, Kenny?

Kenny: I'm not insinuatin' you're a damn super hero.

Kenny: I don't expect you to say you're fit as a fiddle.

Kenny: I mean, do you think it worked? Did it--did it help at all?

Lee: I feel like a man who got bitten. So take that for what it's worth.

Kenny: I still can't believe you went and got chomped. Just...fucking hell.

Christa: At least he told us.

Kenny: Took some brass. I don't think I woulda.

Kenny: Heard you guys giving Lee some hell about hiding his bite.

Christa: Yeah, of course.

Kenny: I'd have done the same thing.

Kenny puts his head in his hand.

Christa: How are you?

Kenny: I'm...I don't know how to answer that.

Christa: I'm sorry. You've lost more than anyone. Well, as much as anyone.

Kenny: Lee's family's gone, too.

Lee: It'll be alright, Ken.

Kenny: Why you acting like what's happened ain't happened? Anyway, I appreciate it, from both of you. A lot of us have lost families.

Lee: We don't need to get emotional.

Christa: I'm just asking him how he is.

Kenny: Lee's right. Your boyfriend's making decent progress; need to be ready to move.

Christa: I agree. I just wanted to say you've all lost a lot. We're still here, though.

Lee: He's fine, okay?

Christa: Chill. I know you want to get out of here. Omid's making good progress.

Kenny: I am fine. I miss my family. That's all. 'Preciate you askin' though.

Lee says nothing.

Lee: Maybe take it easy on him from here on out.

Kenny: I'm angry as hell.

Lee: Not at him.

Kenny: Maybe. Maybe not.

Lee: You heard him outside.

Kenny: I did. I never really thought about it that way.

Lee: You're right to hate him, you know?

Kenny: Maybe. But what good's it doin'? I'm not getting them back.

Christa: He's having a tough go.

Kenny: Yeah. We all are.

Lee: He wanted to die...in Crawford.

Kenny: What's that now?

Lee: When I had him there...in my hand. He wanted me to drop him. He asked me to.

Kenny: Ah, Jesus...

Lee: What?

Kenny: I'm glad it was you making that call and not me.

Kenny: Ah, well.

Kenny leans down and takes a whiskey bottle out of a cardboard box nearby.

Kenny: This guy tell you much about what we been through?

Christa: Bits and pieces.

Kenny: See that lump on his face?

Christa: You did that?

Kenny: Might'a.

Kenny: Well, he can't fight for shit.

Christa: Well, look at him.

Lee: Hey!

Kenny: Soft as rotten fruit.

Christa: Like you guys didn't have enough problems without punching each other in the face?

Kenny: Eh, he had to knock some sense into me before we met you on the train.

Kenny: The day I met him, I thought this guy was a pretty big piece of shit.

Christa: Has much changed?

Kenny: Yeah, it did. My family's...gone. But I know I could feel even more alone.

Kenny: Before y'all, we had this woman, Lilly, with us. Lord knows where she is now. Anyway, we had to...make some tough calls with her dad. She came between Lee and I pretty good, and I spent a lot of nights hating this guy's guts.

Kenny: The aforementioned "Larry" fella? See, Lee and I got trapped in a fucking meat locker with him. He had a heart attack. So, there's this guy who, I should say, was built like a brick shithouse, and we're terrified he's gonna come back and eat all of us.

Christa: What'd you do?

Kenny: We were resourceful.

Christa: Larry didn't make it out?

Kenny: No, he did not. We did, though.

Lee: It's all water under the bridge. All we can do is move forward.

Kenny will remember that.

Lee: After everything, you're still a bastard, you know, Ken?

Kenny will remember that.

Kenny: Been hearing that my whole life, doc.

Lee: I'm sorry for hurting you in any way, Kenny. It's impossible to go through life without causing some sorta pain, but sometimes I can't help but wonder if I coulda caused a little less.

Kenny appreciates that.

Kenny: You and me both, doc.

Christa: And you're both here now, trying to help each other.

Christa noted your silence.

Kenny: Well, cheers.

Kenny takes a sip and offers the bottle to Lee.

Lee takes a sip and passes the bottle back.

Lee: (shakes head) Nah.

Kenny: Suit yourself.

Kenny offers the bottle to Christa. She hesitates for a while, then grabs the bottle and takes a drink.

Omid: I'm through.

Omid sets down the coat rack and looks through the medium-sized hole in the wall.

Omid: No walkers. Things are looking up.

Everyone goes through the wall and drops down into the adjacent mansion.

Second House

Kenny: Everyone keep a goddamn eye out.

Christa: This place seems pretty sealed off. Well.

Two corpses holding hands lie in the bed, a gun in one of their hands, and their blood and brains splattered on the pillows.

Kenny: God...

Lee: Smart. Think of all the people we've seen go...they got to do it their own way. Together.

Kenny:' Don't you say that. You stick it out as long as you can. You do whatever you have to. I could've done more.

Lee: Let's keep moving. We gotta go.

Christa: Yeah. We've seen so many people... I don't know why these ones break my heart.

Kenny: What's heartbreakin' is not givin' yourself a chance. It's what Katjaa did.

Lee: How could they do this?

Kenny: It's what Katjaa did.

Lee says nothing.

Lee: You did everything you could.

Kenny: No, Lee. She left me...my son...the people that cared about us... I forgive her, but it don't make it any less wrong. You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out, and you help the folks you care about. So let's figure a way outta here and get that little girl.

(If Lee said it was the right choice.)

Lee: We all could've done more. Myself included.

Kenny: I could've been a better husband...a better father...could've been a better friend. So let's figure out a way outta here. Get that little girl.

(If Lee said to keep moving/asked how they could do this.)

Lee: Jesus... I'm sorry, Ken.

Kenny: She left me...my son...the people that cared about us... I forgive her, but it don't make it any less wrong. You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out, and you help the folks you care about. So let's figure a way outta here and get that little girl.

Lee: There's no use dwelling on it. You know that.

Kenny: No, Lee. She left me...my son...the people that cared about us... I forgive her, but it don't make it any less wrong. You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out, and you help the folks you care about. So let's figure a way outta here and get that little girl.

Kenny: I could've been a better husband...a better father...could've been a better friend. So let's figure out a way outta here. Get that little girl.

Omid: We should move.

Christa: Yeah.

Kenny takes the gun from the corpse.

Kenny: Got at least one shot left.

Christa: Let's clear the room before we move on. Lee, figure out where we're headed.

Christa: Lee? You okay?

Lee: Yeah.

Christa: Let's keep at it.

Lee: The streets are full. Hundreds of them.

Lee: We're not going out this window.

Lee: (hears walkers outside the door) House is full, too. Stay quiet.

Omid: Judging by the decor of this room, I'd guess they were PBS watchers.

Christa: Hey, my parents' house looked a lot like this, and they watched kung fu movies. Just sayin'.

Lee: Hard to believe the world once felt this peaceful.

Lee: What do you call this thing?

Omid: Art?

Talk to Kenny

Kenny: Don't ask me how I'm doing--let's just keep going.

After talking to Kenny several more times, there is an easter egg.

Lee: Randy Tudor. Good man. DAMN fine man. Powerful 'stache. One of the greats.

Talk to Christa

Christa:' I guess Crawford would've gotten them anyway.

Talk to Omid

Omid: It's sick, but...think of all the pain they avoided.

Talk to Ben (saved Ben)

Lee: You still with us, Ben?

Ben: Yeah, Lee. I just want to help.

Lee looks at the balcony door.

Lee: Might be the way out.

Lee opens the balcony door.

Christa: Nothing other than personal items in here.

Kenny: Looks like we can stay off the streets all the way to River Street if we're careful.

Christa: Let's go.

Ben: Go ahead.

Rooftops

Lee gets onto the railing of the balcony and jumps to the adjacent roof. Omid, then Christa, then Kenny follow suit, loosening the railing.

Ben gets onto the railing, but it collapses.

Lee: Ben!

Ben screams and falls to the alleyway below.

Kenny: Me and my fuckin' mouth...

Omid: Holy fuck! What are we gonna do?!

Kenny climbs down a ladder on the side of the building.

Lee: Kenny and I can handle this.

Omid: Dude, let me help you; you're already hurt.

Lee: Even more reason we all don't need to risk it. You worry about her. And if all this goes bad, you might be Clementine's last hope.

Christa: We'll keep an eye out.

Lee: Someone's gotta stay back. In case.

Omid: Come on, man!

Lee: And if all this goes bad, you might be Clementine's last hope.

Christa: We'll keep an eye out.

Lee: Stay up here. Keep an eye out.

Omid: Okay, but I can't see much from up here.

Lee: Just let us know if they start coming down the alley. We'll be back.

Christa: Be--(Lee runs off) careful.

Omid: We'll let you know if we see trouble.

Christa: Be--(Lee runs off) careful.

Lee follows Kenny. Ben is lying on the ground, covered in debris.

Ben: Ow...uh...I'm okay... I'm okay, just get me out of here... I just slipp--OWWW!

Lee: Shh! QUIET, Ben, or they'll be on top of us.

Kenny: Yeah, try to keep your mouth shut!

Ben: I'm sorry, just get me up...my leg's hurt, I think.

Lee: Are you okay?!

Kenny: What the fuck happened, Ben?

Ben: I'm sorry, just get me up...my leg's hurt, I think.

Lee: Goddamn it, Ben...

Ben: I'm sor--sorry, I'm sorry.

Kenny: Just don't panic.

Kenny: How the fuck did this happen?

Ben: Please, just get me up!

Kenny: We're gonna get your ass up.

Ben: Really? I thought you--

Kenny takes the debris off Ben, and they realize he has a piece of rebar impaling his stomach.

Kenny: Fucking hell...

Ben: What is it? I'm okay...I'm okay...

Kenny: We can get you up. We can...

Kenny tries to pull Ben off the rebar; Ben screams, and Kenny stops.

Lee: He's screwed.

Kenny: He's NOT screwed. He can't die down here.

Lee: What do you wanna do, Ken? We can't--

Lee: Just yank him off that thing.

Ben: WHAT?!

Lee: Fast, like a bandaid.

Kenny: Do you think--

(If Lee told him to be quiet.)

Lee: He's quiet. We can take our time and save his life.

Ben: I can be super quiet--

(If Lee didn't tell him to be quiet.)

Lee: IF he'd be quiet, then MAYBE, but, Kenny, this is fucking serious. He could die just by moving him wrong.

Ben: I won't move!

Kenny: Ben!

Kenny: We gotta do something!

Ben: Please!

Walkers take notice and start to approach.

Kenny: FUCK!

Kenny tries again to free Ben, but fails, and his screams attract more walkers.

Ben: OH, GOD, DON'T LET THEM GET TO ME!

Kenny: (draws gun) Do you have any bullets left?! This has only got one left in it.

Lee: I'm out!

Kenny: Shit! Get the fuck out of here.

Lee: What?!

Kenny: GO BACK. She needs you, Lee!

Lee: KENNY.

Kenny: THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION.

Lee: Just a few.

Kenny: Give them to me.

Lee: What are you gonna do?

Kenny: GIVE THEM TO ME AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

Lee: I'm not leaving you!

Kenny: GO!

Lee: Just one!

Kenny: Fuck, that's not enough. Give it to me.

Lee: What? We gotta do something!

Kenny: You're not doing shit! You are going after Clem!

Lee: KENNY.

Kenny: THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION.

Lee: Okay, I'm going!

Kenny: GOOD.

Lee: Okay, here!

Kenny: Get back up there! NOW!

Lee: What are you gonna do?!

Lee: This is suicide, Kenny! You can't do this!

Lee: Fuck, LEAVE HIM, Ken. I can't let you do this!

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: FUCKING GO!

Lee goes behind the gate.

Lee: Hell no, man! I'm not leaving.

Kenny: WHAT DID I JUST SAY?

Lee: Let's get Ben and get out of here!

Kenny shoves Lee behind the gate.

Lee: What the fuck, Kenny?!

Kenny: Lee. Lee, it's okay.

Lee: Katjaa wouldn't want this... Damn it, Ken!

Kenny: Yeah, she would. I either save the kid or I get to see her. Either way. Now get back up there.

Lee: Alright. Goodbye, Ken. I'm sorry.

Kenny: Shut up, pal. It'll be fine. Just go.

Lee: No, KEN! No, it's not!

Kenny: It's just somethin' I gotta do. You know that.

Kenny: You get it, doc. I gotta do it. Now get on up there.

Kenny: Go get that girl!

Lee: (tries and fails to open gate) DAMN IT, KENNY!

Lee: (tries and fails to open gate) GODDAMN IT!

Kenny: DON'T JUST STAND THERE!

Kenny: BACK, YOU SONS OF BITCHES!

Kenny fights off the walkers.

Ben: AHHH, FUCK! KENNY, PLEASE--

Kenny shoots Ben. Lee climbs up the ladder; the swarm now covers the alley and Kenny can't be seen.

Christa: What happened?!

Lee: They're gone.

They will remember that.

Lee: I...I tried to help.

Christa: What the fuck happened?!

Lee: There was just...too many of them. Ben was really...messed up. I don't know. There's nothing else.

They will remember that.

Lee: I couldn't do anything. Ben was really...messed up. Kenny couldn't leave him. It was just fucked.

They will remember that.

Omid: They're gone...?

Lee: God...DAMN... God. (puts head in hand)

Christa: I heard a shot.

Lee: Kenny made sure that Ben didn't feel any more pain than he had to.

Omid: Wha--what?

Lee: It was Ben's biggest fear, you know? Kenny had one bullet and that's how he used it. God, poor fucking kid.

Lee: He was fighting them off...trying to, at least. It...

Lee: We needed more bullets.

Christa: You needed a miracle. It's not your fault, Lee.

Omid: I can't believe...

Omid: They're dead...?

Christa: You saw them die?

Lee: Nobody was getting out of there.

Christa: I'm sorry, Lee.

Lee: He did what he had to. All the way to the end.

Lee: Well, maybe he DID get away. I don't know.

Lee: He wasn't a bad guy. A lot of folks might not have always agreed. Maybe even me.

They will remember that.

Lee says nothing.

Christa: We should go.

Lee: Right behind you.

Christa: Let's keep going. Be careful up here.

Omid: They haven't learned to climb yet, right?

Sometime later, it's almost sunset and the group walks across the rooftops.

Christa: Do you want to talk?

Lee: Nothing to say; we need to stay focused on what we're doing.

Christa: I know we can't just take a minute, but...you're not a machine.

Lee: Kenny was my friend.

Lee: He could be tough to like, but I agreed with him most of the time; so we were assholes together, I guess.

Christa: Soon as someone dies, they don't immediately have to have their sins forgiven.

Lee: He was what passes for a friend now.

Christa: I understand.

Lee: That's two on him, now. The motherfucker who's got Clementine has Ben and Kenny to answer for.

Christa: Keep a clear head, Lee.

Lee: We wouldn't be out here. We'd all been together to defend against Vernon and we'd be out on the water. Everyone would be alive.

Christa: I guess that's a no, then.

Omid: He just lost two friends; it's pretty understandable, right?

Christa: Look, Lee, this is a shitty time, but I want to clear something up.

Lee: What is it?

Christa: Clementine. I know Kenny was your guy.

Lee: Yeah.

Christa: Well?

Christa: Now with Kenny...gone...means Omid and I have to stay safe. For her.

(If Lee said Kenny should take care of Clem.)

Lee: Ain't much choice now.

Christa will remember that.

Christa: No, there isn't.

Omid: Easy, Christa.

Christa: I don't care that he's who you wanted, but I want you to know that you don't need to worry.

Lee: Okay.

(If Lee said anything else.)

Lee: Yeah, you do. Let me take all the risks.

Christa: That's not what I mean, necessarily.

Lee: It's what I mean. It's what we gotta do.

Christa will remember that.

Lee: Just take care of her as long as you can, then find her a family that's capable.

Christa will remember that.

Omid: We're capable.

Lee: You and your girlfriend might want different things.

Christa: That's enough.

Lee: Fine. But you heard me.

Christa: She'll be fine, Lee.

Lee: You guys would be great for her. Keep her safe.

Christa will remember that.

Christa: We'd do our best, you know that.

Lee: What's going on with you?

Christa: I just saw your friends get killed.

Lee: I mean before, back at the attic.

Christa: It's nothing.

Omid: What's nothing?

Christa: Let's just keep moving.

Lee: Are you okay?

Christa: I should be asking you that.

Lee: Before, in the attic.

Christa: It's nothing.

Omid: What's nothing?

Christa: Let's just keep moving.

Lee: Good. Thanks. Whatever your best is, I'll trust it.

Christa: That's all you can do.

Lee says nothing.

Christa: That's that, then.

Omid: Yeah, that's that, hon.

They reach the end of the roof; a makeshift bridge of planks leads to the next one.

Christa: Fuck, be careful across here.

The group crosses the bridge.

Omid: River Street's just up ahead.

They come across a hole in the roof; the room below is full of walkers.

Omid: Whoa, careful.

Christa: Even the buildings are full...

Omid: They never know where their next meal is.

Lee: No. They don't.

Omid: I...I didn't mean--

Lee: It's fine; let's go.

Lee: That's a thing to say.

Omid: I...I didn't mean--

Lee: It's fine; let's go.

Lee: Be careful through here.

Omid: Yeah, we don't need any more accidents. I'm sorry.

Lee: It's okay.

Christa: He didn't mean to...

Kenny: It's good to be moving.

Lee: You're doing good.

Kenny: I'm not, but I'm trying, man.

Lee: What happened?

Kenny: Honestly... You know how many nights Kat and I laid in that broke-down RV and she'd give me hell for not thinking enough about the rest of you? All of 'em. Every damn night.

Lee: We can't stop.

Kenny: Damn right we can't.

Omid: We're not too far.

Kenny: How we finding this guy?

Lee: We just get to the hotel and stick together, and use our heads.

Lee: You ready for whatever's coming?

Kenny: I got a lot of pain inside me, Lee. I'd like to get even a little bit of it out.

Kenny: It's just good to...be bearing down on this asshole.

Kenny: You got that walkie-talkie?

Lee: Yeah, of course I do. (takes out radio)

Kenny: Might want to give him a call and tell him we're coming for him.

Lee: Yeah, right.

They reach the end of the roof; a makeshift bridge of planks leads to the next one.

Kenny: Careful across here.

The group crosses the bridge.

Omid: River Street's just up ahead.

They come across a hole in the roof.

Omid: NOPE. Maw of darkness full of walkers? Fuck that shit.

Lee: I don't see any down there.

Christa: You can hear 'em, right?

Omid: We're all desensitized to it, but I can still smell them.

Lee: Let's get off of here. Now.

Omid: Yep. That.

Lee: This roof could give way.

Omid: Don't gotta tell me twice.

Omid: Can you smell them? I can smell them. Years from now, when this is over, that smell is going to haunt my fucking dreams.

Kenny: Let's keep goin', you buncha lollygaggers.

Kenny pats Lee's back, accidentally making him drop the radio into the hole.

Kenny: Oh, fuck.

Christa: (sighs) Well.

Kenny: I'm so sorry.

Lee: Way to go.

Kenny: I am so fucking sorry.

Lee: You know what that thing means to finding her?

Kenny: We know where she is.

Lee: For NOW.

Christa: Guys.

Kenny: Doc, I am SORRY.

Lee: Whatever, man.

Christa: Aw, fuck it.

Lee: Leave it. We don't need it. We've got a bead on this guy.

Kenny: Yeah, I agree.

Christa: And when we don't? And we don't know where to begin to look? Any clue, even the smallest one, is invaluable. We need that thing.

Kenny: Fuck, I'm sorry. Let's think this through.

Christa: I just did.

Lee: We have to get it back. That's our lifeline to her.

Kenny: We can find this guy without it.

Lee: And what if we don't? We need every clue that comes out of it.

Christa: Lee's right.

Kenny: I am so fucking sorry.

Lee: It's fine. We just need to figure out who's going down there.

Christa: No, we don't.

Kenny: Buddy, I'm so sorry, I just...fuckin' caught a toe.

Christa: We need it back.

Kenny: Do we?

Christa: Yes.

Kenny: We know where this guy is.

Christa: And when we don't? And we don't know where to begin to look? Any clue, even the smallest one, is invaluable. We need that thing.

Kenny: Fuck, I'm sorry. Let's think this through.

Christa: I just did.

Christa jumps down and retrieves the radio.

Omid: CHRISTA! Jesus fucking Christ!

Christa: I got it, get me up.

Kenny and Omid reach out to Christa, and she tries to grab their hands, but they are too far away.

Kenny: Fuck, we can't reach. Find something, fast!

Christa: Fast would be good.

Lee: Keep a fucking eye on her.

Lee: I need something sturdy.

Lee: Won't help.

Talk to Omid

Omid: Find something, dude!

Talk to Kenny

Kenny: We can't reach her!

Talk to Christa

Lee: See anything?

Christa: No, and that's the problem. Get me out of here. Now.

Comments from Group

Kenny: Mmph...can you jump?

Christa: I am jumping!

Omid: Find a chair or something!

Christa: It's pitch black down here!

Christa: Fuck, I hear something.

Kenny: Come on...

Christa: I am READY to get out of here.

Lee grabs a nearby pole lying on the ground and holds it out to Christa.

Lee: Grab onto this, we'll pull you up.

Christa: Good. Thanks.

Christa grabs onto the pole and Lee starts to pull her up, but he drops it and she falls to the ground. The sound attracts walkers.

Omid: Shit! They're in there!

Omid and Lee reach out to Christa.

Omid: Fuck! Jump up here, baby!

Lee: Let's go! JUMP!

Christa jumps but still can't reach them.

Kenny: Me and my fuckin' mouth... (jumps down)

Lee: Kenny, what are you doing?!

Omid: Get her, Ken!

Kenny boosts Christa up.

Kenny: Can't have said all that shit and not do somethin' now. Come on, reach!

Lee and Omid grab onto Christa.

Omid: I gotcha, hon!

Kenny: SAVE HER!

Omid: Go, go, go!

Kenny: DO YOU FUCKING HEAR ME?

Kenny draws his pistol and shoots the approaching walkers. Lee and Omid pull Christa up.

Lee: Get Kenny!

Lee runs back to the edge, but Kenny is nowhere to be seen.

Lee: Where are you?!

Lee: Jump up here, Ken! I'll grab you!

Lee: You gotta run, man! Go! We'll find a way to get you!

Omid: Where the fuck is he?!

The group still can't see Kenny, but they hear gunshots.

Kenny: GET THE FUCK OFF ME!

Lee: Jesus...

Lee: NO!

Lee: We're going in after him!

Omid: We can't!

Lee: WE HAVE TO!

Lee lunges forward, but Omid holds him back.

Omid: LEE--

Lee says nothing.

Kenny: Go! I'll...I'll be...

Omid: Where...where'd he go?

Lee: He's dead.

They will remember that.

Christa: Maybe he's not.

Lee: Maybe--maybe he ran. May--maybe the man's alright. Maybe he'll find us.

They will remember that.

Christa: What if he doesn't?

Lee: We don't know. He could be down there still, he...he could be on the run. He...he could be gone.

They will remember that.

Christa: He could be okay.

Omid: Kenny's a beast, he's--he's...alright, right?

Christa: Maybe he's not.

Lee: He went down there for you.

Christa: I know he did. He...

Christa, Omid, and Lee continue moving. At sunset, they reach River Street, which is swarming with walkers. The only way to the next roof is over a sign saying "MACCABE IMPORTS".

Lee: The Marsh House hotel is around the corner up the block.

Christa: Are you okay? Do you want to talk?

Lee: Nothing to say; we need to stay focused on what we're doing.

Christa: I know we can't just take a minute, but...you're not a machine.

Lee: Kenny was my friend.

Lee: He could be tough to like, but I agreed with him most of the time; so we were assholes together, I guess.

Christa: Soon as someone dies, they don't immediately have to have their sins forgiven.

Lee: Well, he gets an hour moratorium, at least.

Christa: I understand.

Lee: The fucker who took Clem has Kenny to answer for, too.

Christa: Keep a clear head, Lee.

Lee: We wouldn't be out here. We'd all been together to defend against Vernon and we'd be out on the water. Everyone would be alive.

Christa: I guess that's a no, then.

Omid: We just lost someone; let's give him a break.

Christa: This is a shitty time, but I want to make sure we're clear before we go forward.

Lee: What is it?

Christa: Clementine. I know Kenny was your guy.

Lee: Yeah.

Christa: When it comes to Clementine... Well?

Lee: We have to cross here.

Omid: Well, at least it doesn't look like a death trap. (Christa glares at him) Who's going first?

Christa: You're the lightest...

Lee: He's got a busted leg, and you're walkin' for two. I'm obviously not doing so hot. Decision doesn't make itself.

Lee: You two should go across first.

Christa: You're the lightest, Omid. I'll follow right after you.

Omid starts to climb across the sign.

Christa: I meant what I said, about Clem.

Lee: I didn't doubt it. I appreciate it.

Christa: How are you feeling?

Lee: Good enough.

Omid reaches the next rooftop.

Omid: Christa, you next!

Christa climbs across the sign; when she's almost to the rooftop, the sign breaks and falls; Christa manages to hang onto the remaining piece still attached to the building.

Omid: SHIT!

Lee: SHIT!

Christa jumps to the rooftop.

Lee: I'll go first. In case anything happens out there.

Christa: You sure?

Lee: Yeah.

Lee starts to climb across the sign.

Omid: Just go nice and slow...

Lee: Almost there! It's an easy crossing.

Omid: Good.

The sign breaks and falls; Lee manages to hang onto the remaining piece still attached to the building.

Omid: SHIT!

Lee: Ah, fuck!

Lee grabs onto the strut to keep from falling down.

Lee: SHIT!

Omid: Are you okay?!

Lee: Fine, but I'm kinda fucked here.

Omid: What are you gonna do?!

Lee: Fuck it. I'm going for it.

Omid: Going for it?!

Christa: What does that mean?

Lee: It means I'm already bitten! I just have to push my way through.

Omid: What the fuck?!

Lee: Find me when you get down!

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Omid: What the fuck does that mean?!

Lee: It means what it sounds like! Hotel's around the corner--find Clementine and me as soon as you can!

Christa: You're crazy!

Lee: There's no other way!

Lee: Let's meet out of town! By the train!

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Omid: Are you nuts?!

Lee: It's the only way. Do you hear me?!

Omid: Yeah, by the train!

Christa: Jesus... We'll be there!

Lee: Find a boat! We'll meet north of town!

Omid and Christa will remember that.

Omid: A BOAT?!

Lee: We still have to get out of the city! I'll get Clementine and meet you!

Christa: What if--

Lee: Don't "what if"--I'll meet you.

Christa: We'll find you! Don't get yourself killed!

Lee: I'll figure something out!

Omid: There's not a ton of options!

(Lee must say something else.)

Lee: Can you help me?!

Omid: I don't know what we can do from here!

Lee: Anything!

Christa: It's fucked, Lee!

(Lee must say something else.)

Omid: What are you doing?!

Christa: LEE!

Lee climbs down to the street.

Lee steps on some shards of glass; he picks up a shard and holds it tightly; it cuts him and blood runs down the glass.

Lee takes out his cleaver. Lee walks through the herd, killing walkers and getting covered in their blood. If he doesn't kill some of them, he will be bitten but keep going. He enters the hotel.

Marsh House

Lee reaches Clementine's hotel room.

Lee hears nothing.

Lee opens the door and enters the seemingly empty room. He looks at the door, which has a rope tied to its handle and connected to the closet door. He turns around and sees the stranger pointing a gun at him.

Stranger: I got us adjoining rooms.

Lee: Hello.

Stranger: Okay, this is civil.

Lee: I'm going to kill you.

Stranger: I have a gun.

Lee: Where is she?

Stranger: I already told you, she's fine.

Stranger: You must be tired.

Stranger: You look horrible.

Stranger: And you're missing an arm.

Stranger: (gestures with gun) Go over there. (Lee takes a few steps to the side) Put your things down.

Clementine: (bangs on door) Let me out! who's out there?

The stranger puts the gun next to Lee's face and puts his finger on his lips.

Stranger: Shh.

The stranger puts the gun next to Lee's face and puts his finger on his lips.

Stranger: Shh.

The stranger puts the gun next to Lee's face and puts his finger on his lips.

Stranger: Shh.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: Good.

Stranger: Quiet, please, sweetie! Your things. (gestures with gun) There.

Lee: Just be cool.

Stranger: Do I not seem cool?

Lee puts his cleaver and radio on the table.

Stranger: Good. Go sit down.

Lee: This is all I've got, okay?

Lee puts the radio on the table.

Stranger: You travel light. I don't believe you.

Lee: That's everything. Go ahead and search me.

Stranger: No. I'm not touching you. Just sit down.

Lee: Okay, fine.

Lee puts the cleaver on the table.

Stranger: That's what I thought. You shouldn't lie. Sit down.

Stranger: Just...SIT down. Please don't do anything stupid.

Lee: I don't have anything on me.

Stranger: Really? You got all the way here without any weapons?

Lee: Lost 'em.

Stranger: I don't believe you.

Lee: Seriously. You don't believe me? Go ahead, search me.

Stranger: No. I'm not touching you. Just sit down.

Lee: Okay, fine.

Lee puts the cleaver and radio on the table.

Stranger: That's what I thought. You shouldn't lie. Sit down.

Stranger: Just...SIT down. Please don't do anything stupid.

Stranger: Do it. Don't dick me around.

Lee: Seriously. You don't believe me? Go ahead, search me.

Stranger: No. I'm not touching you. Just sit down.

Lee: Okay, fine.

Lee puts the cleaver and radio on the table.

Stranger: That's what I thought. Sit down.

Stranger: Just...SIT down. Please don't do anything stupid.

Lee and the stranger sit in chairs facing opposite each other.

Stranger: Do you know who I am?

Lee: Yeah. I know who you are.

Stranger: You saw my car out front, then. You see anything else you want in there? Not a whole lot left.

Lee: No. I don't know anything about you.

Stranger: You wouldn't. People like you don't. Now you're thinking, "Who would have it out for me?" huh? A few weeks back, there might have been a station wagon in the forest? Full of all sorts of food, water, things you need to survive. Yeah. I'm not some cannibal, Lee. Some killer out in the woods. Some...villain. I'm just a...dad. I coach little league.

Lee: Everything was just out there for the taking. We were starving. Do you--

Stranger: For the taking?! Do you know what you TOOK from me?!

Lee: Don't start on who took what from who.

Stranger: I didn't take her from you. I rescued her from you. Don't you get that?

Lee: I'm sorry. Whatever it is, whatever happened, you have to hear that I'm sorry.

Stranger: That doesn't mean anything to me. I wish it did. I'm not a bad man. I don't believe in vengeance, but I've got nothing left.

Lee: I don't care.

Stranger: Fuck you. You have no idea.

Stranger: You have no idea...

Lee: I didn't take from you.

Stranger: Your people didn't?!

Lee: I didn't agree with it.

Stranger: That's what Clementine said. Why didn't you?

Lee: She didn't want me to.

Stranger: She didn't want you to do a lot of things.

Lee: What do you want me to say?

Lee: It wasn't right. It wasn't our stuff.

Stranger: That's real good of you.

Lee: Look, what do you want me to say?

Lee: You were coming back. The dome light was on.

Stranger: We did come back. I said we DID COME BACK.

Lee: What do you want me to say?

Stranger: If only the rest of your crew had been so "magnanimous".

Stranger: I don't want you to say anything. I want you to know what happened.

Stranger: Have you ever hurt somebody you care about?

Lee: Yes. Of course.

Stranger: Who?

Lee: Clementine. The girl misses her parents. I'm not them.

Lee: My wife.

Stranger: Clementine said she wasn't with you.

Lee: I hurt her a long time ago.

Stranger: How?

Lee: It doesn't matter.

Stranger: If you say so.

Lee: In a lot of ways. She traveled for work. I didn't like that. I wanted a family.

Stranger: A reasonable thing to want.

Lee: So we fought. And it made my biggest fear come true. I got sick one day on my way to class. Canceled it and went home. Found her there with someone else. Killed him. I was mad at her for so long and I can't imagine how much pain she felt. How about you?

Lee says nothing.

(If Lee didn't help Kenny or fought Kenny.)

Lee: A guy named Kenny.

(If Lee saved Carley.)

Lee: Her name was Carley. She was killed. Don't feel like I did enough to protect her. Maybe I couldn't. I don't know.

(If Lee helped Kenny kill Larry.)

Lee: A woman named Lilly. The first few months with her were good. She just wanted to keep her dad safe, and I wasn't really there for her when she needed me.

(If Lee let Ben die at the belltower.)

Lee: A boy named Ben who was with us. I liked him; he was a good kid.

Lee says nothing. Stranger sighs.

Lee: Not on purpose.

Stranger: If it were on purpose, you'd be sociopath.

Lee: No.

Stranger: That's not true.

Stranger: You didn't care about that woman before holding her back so your friend could bash her dad's brains in?

Stranger: What about that boy who didn't make it out of...Crawford, was it? If it didn't hurt him, whatever you did hurt that girl in there.

Stranger: What about your wife?

Stranger: It's okay. I know you have.

Stranger: I hurt her so bad. My son, Adam, went missing. I took him out hunting even though my wife said he was too young. I figured he had to learn. I came back without him and the look on her face said..."You are a MONSTER." We all went out looking for him. We never found him. I hurt her so bad.

Stranger: Then you took all of our things. You robbed us. I could've earned her trust back, Lee, but not after that.

Stranger: And then we came back and all our stuff was gone. Your people, Lee. That asshole in the ball cap. His stupid fucking wife. I could've earned her trust back if they hadn't made our situation so desperate.

Lee: I'm sorry.

Lee: It's not my fault.

Lee: You fucked up.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: The hungrier we got, the more she blamed me. Until she finally took our daughter, Elizabeth, and left. They didn't get far... I...found them a day later. In the road. Do I look like a monster to you?

Lee: Yes.

Stranger: If you think that now, you just wait.

Lee: No.

Lee: We all do.

Stranger: Some more than others.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: I'm not like you.

Stranger: You walked a little girl into a dairy full of sick people and let them get their hands on her.

Lee: I was trying to find a safe place for her.

Lee: It's more complicated than that.

Lee: I would do it differently if I could.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You let that little girl get fed disgusting human meat.

Lee: I did my best.

Lee: It's more complicated than that.

Lee: I would do it differently if I could.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You killed a man with a pitchfork right in front of a little girl.

Lee: I did what I had to.

Lee: It's more complicated than that.

Lee: I would do it differently if I could.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You lied to her about who you really are.

Lee: It wasn't the right time to tell her.

Lee: You weren't there.

Lee: I wouldn't do that again.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You let a boy get yanked out of a window and into the night so you could protect a pretty girl with a gun.

Lee: It was impossible to save him. To save them both.

Lee: You weren't there.

Lee: I wouldn't do that again.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You let a woman who knew who you really were die to protect your secret.

Lee: It was impossible to save her. To save them both.

Lee: You weren't there.

Lee: I wouldn't do that again.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: You abandoned a defenseless, grieving woman.

Lee: She deserved it.

Lee: You weren't there.

Lee: I wouldn't do that again.

Lee says nothing.

Stranger: The sweatshirt she's wearing was my boy's. You stole that from us.

Stranger: You brought her to the most dangerous place in this city where she could've died.

Stranger: How many times has she almost died with you?

Lee: I fucked up.

Stranger: Yes, you did.

Lee: That's not the whole story.

Stranger: THE WHOLE STORY?!

(If Lee stole from the car.)

Lee: We were starving. It was cold.

Stranger: SO MY FAMILY STARVED IN THE COLD!

(If Lee brought Clem to Crawford.)

Lee: I couldn't leave her at the house alone.

Stranger: SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF!

(If Lee didn't steal from the car and left Clem at the house.)

Lee: You wouldn't have done better.

Stranger: THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE!

Stranger: Look at you.

Lee: How could you know all this?

The stranger sets his radio down on the coffee table.

Stranger: You're a monster. You're a murderer and a thief and I'm gonna hurt you so bad.

(If Lee stole from the car.)

Lee: I'm SORRY.

Stranger: I hear that.

(If Lee didn't steal from the car.)

Lee: I DIDN'T steal from you!

Stranger: But think of everything else you did.

Lee: Just give me Clementine back.

Stranger: I'd rather kill her myself. Because that's what will happen if she goes with you.

Lee: It doesn't have to be this way.

Stranger: You can't take care of anyone.

Stranger: You came here for Clementine and I don't even know why.

Stranger: After I heard Clementine on the radio and realized who you folks were, I came after you purely for revenge.

Stranger: After I found Clementine on my radio, I wasn't even mad at you. I was coming for the others. For revenge.

Stranger: But the more I heard about the things you did and the danger she was in...our plan changed. Lee, listen to me. I need you to hear this before what happens next. I can take care of her. We can have a family. I bet you don't even know how old she is.

Lee: She's eight.

Stranger: Wrong. She's nine.

Lee: But--

Stranger: Her birthday was six days ago. I know how to be a dad, you know. She wouldn't be exposed to what she has been with you.

Lee: That's not happening. You're crazy.

Stranger: Keeping her with you is crazy.

Lee: Look...I was bitten.

Stranger: You were what?

Lee: Yeah. I probably don't have a whole lot of time.

Stranger: Wow. Okay, then.

Lee: No. Shut up.

Stranger: It makes sense.

Lee: It's not happening.

Stranger: Alright. I expected you to put up a fight.

Lee: You'll have to kill me.

Stranger: Yeah, I know.

Lee: I'm bitten.

Stranger: What?

Lee: I got bit, and I'm going to make sure you end up the same way as me.

Stranger: I, uh...

Lee: Make sure you shoot me in the head.

Stranger: No. I'll be with her and you'll be rotting in the streets.

Lee: Let us go.

Stranger: No, no, I don't think so. You're going away and we're starting a new family.

Stranger: This is happening. You're going away and we're starting a new family.

Lee: I'm sorry, again, for your family.

Stranger: Me, too. I'm glad this didn't have to get violent.

Lee: You'll take care of her?

Stranger: We'll give her a home.

Lee: Why are you saying "we"?

Lee: No, you're not taking her.

Stranger: Lee...

Lee: I said no.

Stranger: I'm glad this didn't have to get violent.

The stranger leans down and looks in the bag at his feet.

Stranger: Hey, honey. I think this is all going to work out.

Lee: What are you--

Lee sees Clementine open the door, breaking the rope. She sneaks toward the stranger.

Stranger: I'm glad, too. I wish you wouldn't have had to get this bad, but it's all over, hon. Isn't it?

Lee: Just about.

Stranger: I hate seeing you like this. I just miss your smile, honey.

Clementine takes the bottle.

Clementine takes the lamp.

Clementine takes the cleaver.

Clementine takes the carafe.

Stranger: I miss you so much, Tess. You're going to like Clementine a lot, though. She's not Lizzy, but she's sweet. She wouldn't hurt a fly.

Clementine hits the stranger in the head with the bottle.

Clementine hits the stranger in the head with the lamp.

Clementine chops the stranger's shoulder, and the cleaver gets stuck.

Clementine hits the stranger in the head with the carafe.

Clementine punches the stranger in the back of his head.

Lee jumps at the stranger, knocking his chair backwards; the stranger kicks Lee away and the two of them struggle with the gun. Lee kicks the stranger backwards and the gun flies out of his hands. The stranger limps toward the gun and Lee shoves him into the wall, headbutts him, and then strangles him.

Lee strangles the stranger to death and takes his gun.

Lee shoots the stranger in the head.

Clementine: He would've come back.

Lee: That's right, sweet pea.

Clementine: He...he could come back.

Lee: It's okay, sweet pea. We're leaving.

Clementine: Good.

Clementine hugs Lee.

Clementine: I'm sorry...I'm sorry.

Lee: Shh. It's okay. It's okay.

The stranger pushes Lee backwards and tackles him to the floor, strangling him.

Stranger: You son of a bitch... Just go away... Die!

Clementine shoots the stranger in the head, then drops the gun. Clementine hugs Lee.

Clementine: I...I...I...

Lee: It's okay. It's okay.

Clementine: I...

Clementine: Your arm's gone...why? That's so scary...

Lee: I had an accident. We'll talk about it somewhere else.

Clementine: You look horrible.

Lee: That's what he said.

Clementine: Let's just get somewhere safe.

Clementine: You don't smell good.

Lee: Yeah, I know.

Lee: Did he hurt you?

Clementine: No, not really. I'm sorry, Lee.

Lee: Clem, it's okay.

Lee: Let's get out of here, okay?

Clementine: Yes, please.

Lee: Clementine, we don't have much time.

Clementine: Okay. I'm sorry, Lee. I'm sorry.

Lee: Shh...it's okay, sweetie.

Clementine: I'm so sorry, Lee. I did bad.

Lee: No, it's okay. I'm sorry, Clem.

Lee: We need to get you somewhere safe and then we have to talk, okay?

Clementine: Yeah.

Lee: Everything's okay now. We need to figure out how to get out of Savannah as fast as we can.

Clementine looks at the stranger's corpse.

Lee: I'm sorry you had to see that.

Clementine: He was going to kill you.

Lee: And take you, yeah.

Lee picks up the pistol.

Lee: Hey...

Lee: You weren't afraid.

Clementine: I was.

Lee: You didn't act like it.

Clementine: I know. I am now.

Lee: It's okay.

Lee: You pulled the trigger.

Clementine: I...I...I know.

Lee: I wish...I wish you'd never had to learn that.

Clementine: Me, too.

Lee: You saved me. I'm sorry you had to. But I'm happy you could.

Lee looks at the stranger's corpse.

Inside the bag is the severed head of the stranger's reanimated wife.

Lee: Jesus... Don't look in there.

Clementine: No. I know.

Lee: Leads to the other room.

Clementine: There's nothing in there. Can we go?

Lee: Yeah, of course.

Lee: Which way out?

Clementine: (points to door) Through there.

Lee: Out to the hallway.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: Which way out?

Clementine: (points to door) Through there.

Lee opens the hallway door and finds a walker standing directly in front of it. It doesn't notice him, but starts to approach Clementine. Lee knocks it to the ground and shoots it, noticing he's out of ammo.

Clementine: It...it...it didn't bite you.

Lee: Yeah...I know, it...must've...

Clementine: You're covered in all that gross stuff.

Lee: I had to get through a bunch of them to get here. That's how we'll get out of Savannah.

Lee takes the cleaver.

Lee: They smell horrible, which means you have to, too.

Clementine: Yuck. Okay.

Lee: Ugh.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: You might want to pinch your nose.

Lee leans down to the walker, holding the cleaver.

Clementine: Oh, no...

Lee cuts the walker's abdomen open, scoops out its guts, and smears them on Clementine.

Clementine: Eeeewwww...

Talk to Clementine

Lee: We'll get you cleaned up as soon as we can.

Clementine: Not soon enough.

Lee smears more guts on Clementine's back.

Clementine: Are you done?

Lee: A little more. I want to be sure.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: Just a little more...

Clementine: So...gross...

Lee finishes covering Clementine in the walker's blood and guts.

Lee: There, that should do it.

Clementine: I hope so.

Lee: And you're missing something.

Lee gives Clementine her hat and she puts it on.

Clementine: I thought it was gone.

Lee: I thought YOU were gone.

Clementine: Thank you.

Lee: Stay right next to me and walk very slowly. Don't look around and don't panic.

Clementine: Mm-hmm.

Lee: I'll keep you safe.

Clementine and Lee walk out to the street. They slowly move through the herd, unnoticed by the walkers nearby. Clementine looks over and sees her parents as walkers.

Lee: Clem, don't...

Lee: Clem, don't...

Lee: Clem, don't...

Lee says nothing.

Lee passes out.

Jewelry Store

Lee regains consciousness a short time later.

Clementine: Lee, wake up! Please don't be dead, please, no. Lee! I was so scared... I--I thought you left me... I...I... I saw my parents.

Lee: I know. They didn't get to you, right?

Clementine: No. We got away. They're dead for sure.

Lee: Come here, sweet pea.

Lee hugs Clementine.

Clementine: They're dead, they really are.

Lee: It's a good thing.

Clementine: Lee, they're dead. They really are!

Lee: But you KNOW. You're going to be sad for a very long time, but you know what happened to them. When we get you somewhere safe, then just let it all out.

Clementine: Okay. Okay.

Clementine: They're dead for sure.

Lee sits up.

Lee: Clementine, we have to get out of here as fast as we can.

Clementine: We can't! There's thousands of them outside.

Lee: We have to. I'll protect you; we'll push through them.

Clementine: No, that's crazy! I saved you; we're safe here, I locked us in.

Lee: Get that door open.

Clementine: I can't!

Lee: Do it!

Clementine: It was only a little open when I found it. I closed it to keep us safe.

Lee gets up, and he and Clementine go to the door.

Lee: Pull on three. One. Two. Three!

They both pull on the door but can't get it open.

Clementine: See?

Lee: Clementine. Honey.

Lee: My arm is gone because I cut it off.

Clementine: Why would you do that...?

Lee: Because I was bitten, Clem.

Clementine: Please, no. No. That's not true.

Lee: Yes, it is.

Lee shows the bite on his wrist.

Clementine: What...what...wh--what happened? No. No, that's not... No. No. NO. NO!

Lee: Yes, Clem, it is.

Clementine sobs.

Clementine: It's like Larry, isn't it?

Lee: It's going to be okay. You are going to be okay. We just have to think and work together.

Clementine: Okay.

Lee: I'm sorry, Clementine. I'm supposed to take care of you. I can't now.

Clementine: I know.

Lee: There's no time to be upset.

Clementine: Okay. I'll try not to be.

Lee: Yeah, Clem. It is; so you understand we can't be in here.

The next room contains an exit, as well as a zombified police officer stuck in a chair.

Clementine: I think there might be a way out over there.

Lee: Good. Good girl. Let's go. I might be a little slow.

Lee takes a few steps forward, stumbling and leaning on a glass display case.

Clementine: I'll help you.

Lee slowly moves forward and Clementine helps him along. He falls partly, and Clementine helps him back up.

Clementine: I got you. You can lean on me if you have to.

Lee: I'm okay, I'm okay...

Clementine: I thought I was helping by bringing you in here.

Lee: You couldn't have known... I should've told you...

Clementine: It was scary at the hotel.

Lee: Yeah.

Lee: Oh, you did, honey. It's awful out there, they woulda chewed me up.

Clementine: It was hard.

Lee: I don't know how you did it, but you did good, okay?

Lee: You're just learnin', hon. Never let yourself get trapped, okay?

Clementine will remember this.

Clementine: I won't.

Lee: We'll get out of here, and just don't do it again.

Clementine: Okay, I won't. I won't.

Clementine: But I wasn't. It's all my fault.

Clementine: Keep going; we're almost there.

Lee reaches the end of the glass case and slumps to the floor next to a radiator.

Clementine: Get up, Lee, the door's right here.

Lee tries to get up but falls back down again.

Lee: I can't.

Clementine: You have to.

Lee: Clem...I can't move. This is it for me here.

Clementine: Please, please, try to get up.

Lee tries and fails again.

Lee: I can't. You don't have much time. You gotta do something, fast.

Clementine: Like what?

Lee: You need to get out of here as soon as you can.

Clementine: I can't leave you.

Lee: Just work on getting out, okay?

Lee: You have to keep away from me.

Clementine: But...Lee...

Lee: Do whatever you have to do to keep me away from you. You have to.

Clementine: Okay.

Lee: You're going to have to make sure I don't turn.

Clementine: You won't, though.

Lee: Clem, I will. You know what you have to do.

Clementine: No. I can't. There's no way.

Clementine: Lee... I don't know what to do.

Lee: We'll figure it all out. Don't worry.

Lee: The way out's through there, Clem.

Clementine: I know.

Lee: Just...start by getting that door open.

Clementine: (tries to open door) It's locked.

Lee: It's no big deal. It's just a glass window.

Clementine: (punches window) Ow!

Lee: Not with your hand.

Lee: There's a chair over there.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: We'll get you in there; don't worry, you're doing good.

Lee plans for Clementine to use the baseball bat.

Lee: There's a baseball bat under the counter, Clem. You can use that.

Clementine picks up the bat. Lee plans for Clementine to use office door.

Lee: Use the bat to shatter that window, so you can reach in, okay?

Clementine: Okay...

Lee: Watch out for broken glass.

Clementine smashes the window with the bat. The walker claws at the air and growls at Clementine.

Lee: Good job. Don't be afraid of him, honey. You're smart. He isn't. You're smarter than all of them.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: And don't be scared of the walker. You'll be fine.

Lee plans for Clementine to use the chair.

Lee: Grab the chair, Clem. Use it to reach in, to the lock.

Clementine pulls the chair in front of the door, reaches through the window, and unlocks the door.

Lee: You can open it; the walker in there is trapped. We'll figure out what to do, together.

Lee plans for Clementine to use the door.

Lee: Clem, open it.

Clementine: (opens door) He's...he's trapped.

Lee: This'll be easy, then...he's got keys, probably to that door, and everything you need.

Lee: There's keys and a gun...you're going to need both of those.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: You're doing really good.

Lee plans for Clementine to get the handcuffs.

Lee: There are handcuffs on the ground. Get them.

Clementine: Okay, Lee.

Clementine picks up the handcuffs.

Lee: Put the handcuffs on me. Attach me to this.

Clementine: What? Why?

Lee: No matter what happens, you're safe then.

Clementine: I don't know...

Lee: Just do it, sweetie. Make sure they're tight.

Clementine: I don't--I don't wanna do this.

Lee: You have to. It'll keep you safe.

Clementine handcuffs Lee to the radiator.

Lee: You only have to deal with him now. He's trapped over there...if you're careful you can get what you need from him.

Clementine: The keys and then the gun.

Lee: Yeah, the keys and the gun. Just don't be afraid. If anything gets dangerous, you're faster than he is.

Lee: You have to handcuff the walker. You can kill it easy then.

Clementine: I don't know, Lee.

Lee: You can do it. Just be careful. Move around the side and jump away if he gets close.

Clementine: Lee...

Lee: You can do it.

Clementine handcuffs the walker to the nearby shelf.

Clementine: What should I get first?

Lee: Get the gun, Clem. Always the gun.

Lee: The keys. In case you have to make a run for it.

Lee: You're so close; just get them both.

Clementine: I'll try.

Clementine: Lee...? I'll just try to get them both...

Clementine reaches for the keys/gun, but the walker breaks free (ripping off his arm if he's handcuffed); she tries to run, but it grabs her legs, tripping her, and she screams.

Lee: Get him! GET HIM.

Talk to Clementine:

Lee: Clem, NO!

Talk to Clementine again

Lee: KILL IT! YOU HAVE TO KILL IT!

Clementine crawls nearby a display stand, and it starts to fall. Lee plans for Clementine to use the display stand.

Lee: Watch out!

Clementine crawls away just as the display stand falls onto the walker, trapping it; the sculpture falls onto Lee's head, giving him blurry vision.

Lee: The bat, Clem! Get the bat!

Lee tries to grab it but can't.

Talk to Clementine

Lee: RUN, CLEM!

Lee either kicks the bat (if he's handcuffed) or throws the bat (if he's not) to Clementine. She grabs it and bashes the walker's head until it stops moving.

Clementine: I did it. I got him.

Lee: Great, Clem. Good job.

Lee: Come here.

Clementine: You said keep away from you.

Lee: Yeah...but you did this. Smart.

Lee: Just...for a second, sweet pea.

Lee: You can take care of yourself, see?

Clementine will remember this.

Clementine: No, not all the time.

Lee: Yeah, you can. Don't worry.

Lee says nothing.

Clementine picks up the gun.

Lee: Hey.

Lee: I might turn, honey. And if I do...it won't be good.

Clementine: No, you can't. You can't do that.

Lee: Trust me, Clem, I don't want to. I'm trying. I'm trying.

Lee: You're not safe. Not 'til...not 'til you're away from me if I turn.

Clementine: No, you can't. You can't do that.

Lee: Trust me, Clem, I don't want to. I'm trying. I'm trying.

Lee: You're strong, Clem. You...you can do anything.

Clementine: But...I'm little.

Lee: Doesn't mean nothin'. You're going to see bad stuff, but it's okay.

Clementine: Lee...what are we going to do?

Clementine: My parents. It's so horrible.

Lee: I can't imagine, sweet pea.

Clementine: And now...you? PLEASE...please don't be one of them. Please don't become a walker.

Lee: There's only one thing you can do. You know that.

Clementine: I don't know if I can.

Lee: You have to shoot me, honey.

Clementine: Lee, no...

Lee: It's okay. It's okay.

Lee: Clem...when I was standing over Duck, holding the gun...it was so hard. I'm sorry you're in that position now. I'd give anything for you not to be. But you just have to point it at me, close your eyes, and be thankful you never have to see me as one of them. You can do it. I know you can.

Lee: When I went out to rescue that boy Glenn, we met a girl. She'd been bitten, too. All she wanted was to not come back as a walker.

Clementine: Lee...

Lee: And I remember how hard it was to do that. But I'm glad I did. You don't want to see me like one of them.

Lee: It's for your safety, Clem. If you don't get out in time.

Clementine: But I can wait until then.

Lee: No, honey. You can't. You can't risk it.

Clementine: It is like Larry, huh? I know you did it to protect me.

Lee: Yes. You just have to do it. It'll be okay.

Lee: You don't want to see me like one of them.

Clementine: Okay, Lee...I can do it. I can.

Lee: You can leave me. It's okay.

Clementine: You'll be just like them.

Lee: It's okay. It won't be me.

Clementine: Leeee...

Lee: Clem, it's time to go. You gotta get out of here.

Clementine: You can come with me.

Lee: No, honey, I can't. It's okay.

Clementine: Please?

Lee: You have to go, now.

Clementine: Maybe...maybe...I shouldn't let you turn.

Lee: I don't want you to have to do that.

(If Lee didn't tell Clem to learn to pull the trigger.)

Lee: Shooting things...it changes you, sweetie. I don't want you to get used to it.

Clementine will remember this.

(If Lee told Clem to learn pull the trigger.)

Lee: This way, you can just remember me talkin' to you and sayin' goodbye. Nothing else.

Clementine will remember this.

Lee: Save the bullet. I'm not going anywhere. You have to always think about what you might need later.

Clementine will remember this.

Lee: The noise, sweet pea. They already know we're in here. You don't need more of them.

Clementine will remember this.

Clementine: I understand.

Lee: In Macon...the first days we met, do you remember?

Clementine: Yeah, I do.

Lee: When I went out to rescue that boy Glenn, we met a girl. She'd been bitten, too. All she wanted was to not come back as a walker. I couldn't bring myself to give her the gun... I didn't want to see death then, and I know we've seen so much of it, but you shouldn't have to see it now.

Lee: You had to shoot that man before, Clem...I don't want you getting used to it. Do you understand?

Clementine: Yeah, Lee, I do.

Lee: Only do it when you absolutely have to. Otherwise...

Lee: It's like with Larry, honey. He was goin', one way or another. But at that moment I couldn't do more violence. You have to be careful about that. It'll consume you.

Lee: Pulling the trigger of a gun and ending a life, Clem...you feel yourself lose something every time. The first time, the most. Don't do it unless you absolutely have to.

Clementine: I'll go. I'll...leave you. I'll go as fast as I can.

Lee: And as safe as you can. Always be safe.

(If silent, Clementine will stutter, then decide to shoot or leave Lee depending on previous choices.)

Lee: Find Omid and Christa.

Lee: They're probably lookin' for us right now. Stay on high ground. Don't go too far. You'll find them.

Lee: They're outside of town...by the train. You remember how to get back there?

Clementine: Yes.

Lee: Good.

Lee: They're looking for a boat. Find them.

Clementine will remember this.

Lee: They'll take good care of you.

Lee: It's going to stay bad out there until it gets better. But it will, one day. Until then, though, don't trust anyone. You have so much more growing up to do. People will see how small you are and try to take advantage of you and try to get you to do things you shouldn't.

Clementine will remember this.

Clementine: I won't let them.

Lee: Good.

Lee: Try to find a group of good people. Look for someone like Katjaa with them. You know what I mean?

Clementine will remember this.

Clementine: Someone nice.

Lee: Yes. That's how you'll know. If you don't see anyone like that, run.

Lee says nothing.

Clementine starts crying.

Lee: And, Clem...

Lee: Stay away from the cities.

Clementine: Definitely.

Lee: They're just not worth the risk.

Clementine will remember.

Lee: Always keep moving. You're gonna want to find someplace like the motor inn, but that's just not safe.

Clementine: Why not?

Lee: Those places are just targets. Move. As much as you can.

Clementine will remember.

Lee: Keep that hair short.

Clementine: I will. I'll cut it myself.

Lee: Great. Good.

Clementine will remember.

Lee says nothing.

Lee: And also...

Clementine: What--what is it?

Lee: No, don't worry. Alright...

Lee: I'll miss you.

Clementine: Me, too.

Lee: Don't be afraid.

Lee: You'll be okay.

Lee says nothing.

Clementine picks up the gun.

Clementine looks away and shoots Lee.

Clementine holds Lee's hand.

Clementine: Don't go...

Clementine walks away, looking back sadly at Lee, who slumps against the wall.

Epilogue

Clementine walks through a field. She sits on a pile of logs near a tree and rusted car. She picks up a shotgun shell lying at her feet. In the distance, she sees two figures walking.
