Nolan is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Tales of the Walking Dead. He is a resident of Brooke's steamboat, as well as Brooke's boyfriend.
Overview[]
Initially, Nolan seems to be helpful and friendly to the other residents of the steamboat. He is the boyfriend of Brooke and seems to care about her a lot. After Billy jumps off the ship, he and the others are greatly concerned for his safety and Nolan is quick to try to help. However, shades of his true self are seen when he suggests they leave Mr. Langston behind, who they believe to have fallen overboard.
After Billy and his crew make it back on the ship, they capture everyone on the boat and hold them captive. In the face of death, Nolan reveals himself to be a condescending and selfish coward who is willing to let his friends die as long as he can live. Nolan initially tries to reason with Billy to let everyone live, but when he sees that it isn't working, he instead tries to negotiate for only himself. As Billy is choosing who to execute, Nolan tries to convince Billy that he isn't like the others and questions why he's being lumped in with them, also stating Dee should be the one to be killed. After Billy executes two more people, he gets to Nolan. Nolan pulls the ultimate cowardly move and sells out his fellow crewmate, Jenna, saying she should be the one who is executed and goes on a rant on why it should be her. He then shows that he is willing to sell out Dee and Lydia, a little girl, if it means he can live.

Nolan is first seen in bed with Brooke talking about the future, even potentially running away together. She brushes these off and tells him to go get ready for the party. Nolan is later seen enjoying the party. The next morning, Nolan meets with Brooke, Jenna, and Mitch about Mr. Langston's disappearance. After Dee tells them to go talk to Billy, he goes with the others to talk to him. Nolan thinks that they might have to leave Mr. Langston, believing they probably won't find him.
Later, after Dee suspects Billy of signaling to someone on land, Nolan sides with Billy believing there's no one on-shore. He watches in horror as Billy jumps into the water. He is ordered by Brooke to go top deck. Eventually Billy returns and takes the entire steamboat hostage, including Nolan. Nolan pleads with Billy, but to no avail. He then starts to beg for his own life to be saved, even selling out his fellow crewmembers, including Dee. Billy proceeds to execute two more residents before getting to Nolan. Right before Billy is about to shoot him, Nolan tells Billy to kill Jenna instead of himself. Nolan then agrees with Jenna that they will help find Dee and Lydia. Chaos breaks out after Dee slits one of the gang member's throats. Nolan is killed along with the other steamboat residents.
