At the start of the apocalypse, Nora and her co-workers found shelter in their office building for several years until encountering another group who intentionally infected them with the bubonic plague.

Season 6

Nora is one of the remaining survivors living in a Dallas office building where she once worked. She and Lee find Althea and Dwight after they emerge from the stairwell onto the fifth floor, where Nora and her group have been seeking refuge. After the pair explain who they are to Nora and Lee, they escort them to where their fellow survivors have been living. Nora explains what has been going on to Dwight and Althea, that they used to live on the higher floors until people started getting sick. After a number of casualties, the remaining descended down the building but were forced to stop on the fifth floor after the survivors got sicker. She runs after Dwight and Althea after they slip away into the stairwell but is blocked from chasing them after Althea jams a fire axe beneath the stairwell door. She eventually finds a way upstairs and is able to dispatch several zombies that had chases Dwight and Althea into a bathroom. She then takes the pair to the floor where the company used to host parties. On the floor is a barricade of office furniture where 15 reanimated office workers who died from the plague were kept behind. She participates in putting down her former co-workers so Althea can get to the roof. After a change of heart, Althea is able to secure antibiotics and help distribute them among the sick survivors. Shortly afterwards, Althea and Dwight help Nora and the others evacuate from the building to escape the diseased rats spreading the sickness. While Althea and Dwight won't bring them into Virginia's network, Althea promises them that they will help them find a home. After a voice comes over the radio, Dwight realizes its his wife nearby and runs outside, with Nora and Althea following to witness the emotional reunion between the husband and wife.

Nora, Lee, and nine other office building survivors were hiding out in a box truck when Althea and Dwight brought Morgan to them. They informed Nora and the others that they are bringing them to a safe place but would need their help building up their new home. Nora asks if they can trust Morgan and Althea replies that they can. They then exit the truck and begin the journey to the dam.
