This Normandy village is a location that appears in Season 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
During World War II, Nazis came to the village, taking children away on trains, presumably to concentration camps.
Post-Apocalypse[]
During the onset of the apocalypse, many of the residents, mostly the younger ones, fled to safer locations to survive the incoming apocalypse thus leaving the elderly population vulnerable. Over time however; the remaining population managed to thrive for themselves; however, they all had a mutual understanding that if one of them dies, to lock up their house and yard so that their zombified selves won't be able to attack anybody else.
At some point during the apocalypse, the Power of the Living took control of this area. They demanded supplies from its citizens in order to be left alone, something they begrudgingly did.
