"Overrun" is the fifth episode of The Walking Dead: Destinies and the fifth and final part of "Welcome to the Apocalypse".

Synopsis[]

Lori and Rick reunite following his miraculous return from the dead, leaving Shane crestfallen. As Rick adapts to his new life, he quickly emerges as a natural leader of the group, a role that Shane had previously assumed. But things can change quickly in this new reality...

Plot[]

A few nights later, as Rick is in the woods, he spots a horde of walkers making their way towards the camp. He tries to radio Lori, to no avail. He quickly hurries back to camp, where he finds Lori and Carl trying to hide from the incoming walkers. He takes out the walkers and escorts them one at a time to the RV. Rick defends the RV as Lori tries to get it started. After she gets it running, she and Carl drive off, while Rick escapes in a pickup truck. Afterwards, he and the rest of the group take shelter on the side of a road.

Expedition[]

Between a Rock and a Hard Place[]

Daryl saw a few walkers roaming in the forest and wants to lead a group to clear them. He says a small group can clean up the area around the camp in no time.

During the mission, Daryl will radio you, telling you the plan went sideways and the straggled led them to a big herd, pinning them in a quarry. Rick can choose to tell Daryl to either stay put or fight his way out. The correct course of action is to tell him to stay put.

Group Conflict[]

Shane/Lori: Lori is having a heated, whispered conversation with Shane. "You told me that my husband was dead," she says, her voice raising. Shane's head rocks from side to side, unsure how to respond in a way Lori would understand. Or in a way that would allow her to forgive him. "The place was overrun," he finally says, pleading with her. "There was no way he could have... NO WAY." "You can tell that to the frogs," Lori replies coldly.

Rick can choose to defend Shane or support Lori.
