Season 1
"Truth or Dare"
Owens is at a bar drinking and having a good time with fellow Marines, including Jennifer, Drake, and Simms. An emergency broadcast on the TV captures everyone's attention as they listen to a news report stating Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, New York becoming the sixth local hospital to go under lockdown. A short time later, he and his fellow Marines are called to duty and dispatched to help rescue civilians who are attempting to flee zombies in the underground service tunnels of a city. He is part of a smaller group searching the tunnels and speculating on the origins of the outbreak, with Owens sharing rumors that it came from outer space, when they come across two zombies, and they open fire before realizing only headshots can take out the undead. He and Simms continue down one corridor while Drake and Jennifer go down another. Later, after several civilians are rescued, the Marines regroup, and Owens reunites with Drake and Jennifer with a look of sadness, having lost Simms in the tunnels to the undead. He and the surviving Marines are briefed by Sergeant Wilkins on the Sunset Protocols, in which all living beings in the hot zone are to be exterminated, including the innocent civilians. He and the other Marines prepare to gun down the rescued civilians when Jennifer opens fire and kills her comrades, including Owens.
