J. Patterson (first name unknown) is an antagonist and survivor of the outbreak in Overkill's The Walking Dead. He is the leader of the Brigade and served as the primary antagonist of Season 2.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Little is known about Patterson's life before or as the outbreak, except that he was married to a woman on May 4, 1994, but later got a divorce which resulted in a restraining order, forbidding him from coming with 500 feet of her.

Post-Apocalypse[]

After the outbreak occurred, Patterson formed a ruthless group known as "The Brigade", with his goal being to create a world ruled by strict military order. He ordered his lieutenant Hurst to lead attacks on several groups, such as the Family and the Anderson Camp. A man named Tanner Finn once snuck into his base in an attempt to assassinate him, but he was caught and thrown in one of the Brigade prisons.
