Paz is a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. She is a resident of Solaz del Mar.
Pre-Apocalypse
Spain
When Paz was 14 years old, she met Elena at high school and thought she would never notice her, but in the end, she did, and they became girlfriends before the outbreak.
Post-Apocalypse
Spain
Paz and Elena lived in Barcelona until Elena was taken by El Alcázar, becoming Guillermo Torres' wife.
Paz subsequently moved to Solaz del Mar, where she became an important member of the community, often managing security and the animals. Paz helped Roberto and Justina with their plan to escape before El Alcázar returned and could possibly take Justina.
Season 3
"La Ofrenda"
As Roberto and Justina return to Solaz del Mar, a townsperson uses a cowbell to lure a small herd of walkers into a pen, which is closed with a whip by Paz. Justina explains to Paz that they were set upon by bandits, and these Americans had helped them out. Paz is visibly doubtful, but both Justina and Daryl implore her that Carol needs help. Paz reluctantly orders Gustavo to let them through the gate.
The next day, Paz rides up to Antonio's house with the news that El Alcázar has arrived.
An Alcázar convoy arrives in Solaz del Mar with the residents cheering and bowing. A beautiful young woman, Elena, emerges from Guillermo's car. When she briefly turns around, Elena and Paz look at each other with obvious recognition.
The next morning, the townspeople prepare the square for the festivities to come, with Paz and Gustavo unloading six pigs into a corral connected to a short racetrack and some giant masks into a wagon. From the balcony of one of the houses, Elena watches as Paz receives a note that Elena had sent to her. With a smile, Paz tips her hat to Elena in agreement.
Paz is later amongst the crowd for the pig race, and Alba is chosen for the offering. With the offering over, people dance in the streets, and Paz removes the remaining collars from the pigs. Daryl climbs into the corral to lend Paz a hand with getting the pigs back into the wagon, commenting that she seems to take care of everything from the walkers to the animals. Paz reveals that in Solaz, the undead are called "los huecos" or "the hollow ones," men with no heart or soul. Solaz uses the walkers to patrol the walls, and it's how she could help Justina and Roberto to escape. The three of them had planned the escape for weeks so that nobody would know.
Paz leaves Daryl to deal with the pigs and slips off down a nearby stairwell, where Daryl can see her holding hands with Elena, although the latter is mostly out of Daryl's sight. Paz can't believe that she's seeing Elena again, who explains that a few years ago, a girl was brought to El Alcázar who was homesick and afraid, like all of the girls taken were at first. Every night, this girl talked about her village, Solaz, and her friend, a gitana cowboy from Barcelona. Paz realizes that Elena is talking about Sandra, and Elena tells her that she had convinced her husband to let her come this one time. It wasn't easy for Elena, who was always praying that Paz would come for her. Paz tenderly kisses Elena's hand as Daryl continues to observe from a distance as he feeds the pigs. Fede notes that Daryl has a way with the pigs, and Daryl explains that his neighbors had some down the road from where he grew up. Fede invites both Daryl and Carol to join him at his table for dinner, which Daryl accepts. Daryl watches Paz coming back up the stairs and sees that Elena is the one she was secretly meeting with.
At dinner, Paz and Elena keep exchanging secret looks. Later, Daryl kills Manuel by dropping him into Paz's walker pen.
"El Sacrificio"
The morning after the Ofrenda festivities, Paz is in bed with Elena, having spent the night together. As they wake up, Paz asks about Guillermo and if he caused the scar on her back. That night in the town square, Paz is with Gustavo, Carmen, Alba, and a group of townspeople as they witness Justina being taken away by Guillermo and El Alcázar.
