Before the outbreak, the Pont du Gard was an aqueduct built by the Romans in the first century AD to carry water to the Roman colony of Nîmes. It was the tallest and one of the best reserved Roman aqueducts. In 1985, it was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.
Post-Apocalypse
Following the outbreak, the Pont du Gard lost a lot of its preservation due to the outbreak of the Wildfire Virus and its resulting apocalypse.
Daryl Dixon crosses the Pont du Gard during his journey across France. As Daryl crosses, a number of walkers can be seen roaming around in the lower part of the aqueduct.
