Nothing is known about his life prior to the outbreak other than that he was the principal at the high school Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh attended when they were younger.
When Rick and Shane were younger, Shane stole Principal Kingsley's car, a Hyundai, out of the teacher's lot. Shane drove the car three miles away to a chicken farm, rolled down the windows and filled the back seat with chicken feed, so the birds could get inside and ruin the car that Kingsley proudly owned. His current fate is unknown.
Post-Apocalypse
It is unknown what happened to Mr. Kingsley after the outbreak.
