Reggie is a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series. He is a member of Carver's Group that helped the cabin group escape from Howe's Hardware, but he was placed in the pen after he failed to escape with them.
Overview
Reggie is a good-hearted and kind man. He originally was supposed to escape Howe's Hardware with Luke's group, but he tripped and was left behind. When the group reunites with him, he harbors no ill will towards them. Due to trying to escape, Reggie is on thin ice with Carver. During his time at Howe's, Reggie seems to believe that the group staying there is a good thing and is slowly gaining Carver's trust back. Unfortunately, Carver sees Reggie's kindness as a weakness and kills him for his incompetence.
Pre-Apocalypse
Very little is known about Reggie's life prior to or as the outbreak began. His birth name was Rajeev, and he immigrated to America from India under that name. While in America, a coffee shop barista misheard his name as "Reggie" when he ordered a drink, then called it several times while he waited for his order. Upon realizing the error, he grew to accept the Americanized name and he eventually had it legally changed.
Post-Apocalypse
Howe's Hardware
At some point after the outbreak, Reggie wound up joining William Carver's community at a hardware store. He was generally well-liked by its inhabitants, notably Carver and Bonnie, who each credited him for always keeping a smile. Despite living in an ostensibly safe community, Reggie and several other survivors became discontent under Carver's increasingly ruthless manner of keeping them alive. Roughly two years after the outbreak, Reggie joined Luke and a group of other survivors decided to leave the community, wanting to escape beyond Carver's reach. During the escape attempt, however, Reggie was left behind when he fell down and everyone else kept running, according to Sarah.
As punishment for his failed escape attempt, Carver mandated that Reggie be thrown into the pen at nights and work during the day under armed guard. On one occasion, he was made to work outside of the community's walls along with Mike. A walker snuck up behind Reggie while he was working and bit him on his left arm. Mike came to his rescue, dispatching the walker and immediately severing Reggie's arm at the shoulder. Reggie was saved from the infection and wound up recovering enough to return to work in limited duties. He attempted to earn his way back into Carver's good graces by working hard and accepting his life in the community, but Carver remained skeptical of Reggie, dissatisfied with his performance in his daily tasks.
Season Two
"In Harm's Way"
Reggie is the first person who the cabin survivors meet when they are taken out to the yard by Troy. The group notices his missing arm and they express their guilt for what happened to him. He then explains that he lost his arm because a walker bit him while working on the wall and his arm was quickly taken off by Mike, claiming that it seemed like Mike did it before. Sarah mentions to Clementine that he helped them to previously escape from Carver's camp, but Reggie himself couldn't leave because he fell and the group left him behind. Kenny will later distract Reggie by talking to him, allowing Clementine to be able to look around the yard. If Clementine touches things, Reggie will kindly ask Clementine to stop. If Clementine tries to open the gate, Troy will come in and criticize Reggie.
The next day, Clementine and Sarah meet him at the greenhouse on the roof to pick berries. Reggie will either report how Carver yelled at him that morning for how Clementine was behaving the previous night or thank her for following his directions and not causing any trouble for him. Reggie hastily tells them how to collect berries and prune dead branches for composting, but he has to perform his own chores for the day and cannot supervise them. He notices Sarah awkwardly holding a pair of shears and quietly asks Clementine if she would be able to do her work, not wanting the girls to get him in trouble by not completing their tasks. Clementine assures him that they would be fine, (Determinant) leading Reggie to awkwardly pat Clementine on the head before leaving her to begin his shift. After Reggie leaves, Sarah is slow to begin, uncertain of what she has to do. Clementine has the option to either help Sarah or do her own work.
Carver arrives to check on their progress for the day near the end of their shift, making Reggie go back to the girls to greet him. If Clementine helped to teach Sarah what to do, they had spent their shift completing Sarah's tasks while failing to complete Clementine's, annoying Reggie. If Clementine left Sarah on her own to complete her own tasks, Sarah had mistakenly sheared several live branches and worked too slowly to collect berries, making Reggie panic. Carver walks into the greenhouse, making Reggie get flustered when he sees how the girls had not met their quota. Reggie panics when trying to explain what had happened, but Carver is unimpressed by Reggie's excuses. Clementine can interject to blame herself for not working fast enough, Sarah for not understanding the assignment or Reggie for not showing them what to do, though Carver will end up blaming Reggie regardless of what she says. Carver tells the girls to wait outside while he speaks with Reggie alone, the two of them leaving the greenhouse as Reggie mutters a sarcastic "thanks for the help, girls" as the door closes behind Clementine.
Moments later, Reggie stumbles out of the greenhouse, begging for mercy as Carver stalks up to him. Carver tells him that he had given Reggie "plenty of chances" before grabbing him and throwing him off the roof in front of the girls. Clementine is horrified at the sight of Reggie's corpse down below, but Carver uses his example of "weakness" and "incompetence" as a warning to her and Sarah the next time they were asked to perform their tasks. He then orders Clementine to go find Bonnie for her other tasks to do for the day.
As part of Clementine's tasks for Bonnie, she walks around the perimeter of the building to deliver some supplies to Kenny and Mike. She immediately stops and approaches the fence as she sees Reggie's corpse beyond it, but Troy orders her to leave Reggie alone from his position on the roof. Clementine complies regretfully, carrying on with her delivery.
Death
- Killed By
- Sarah (Indirectly Caused)
- Clementine (Indirectly Caused)
Reggie was assigned to supervise Sarah and Clementine's first shift in the greenhouse, tasked with getting them to pick berries and prune dead branches. After Sarah and Clementine failed to hit their quota for the day, Carver was displeased and demanded to know what had happened on Reggie's watch.
After a minute of the two of them speaking alone in the greenhouse, Carver forced Reggie out of the greenhouse and threw him from the rooftop of Howe's Hardware, scornfully condemning his "weakness" and "incompetence" as Clementine looked at Reggie's corpse in horror. Given that Reggie remained in the spot where he fell, it is likely his brain was damaged in the fall, preventing his reanimation.

Quotes
The following is a list of some of Reggie's most memorable quotes.
Season 2"Hey, guys. (…) This could've been worse, trust me. I'm lucky to be alive. No, it's really not. I would tell you if it was. This happened well after you guys left. I guess I should say it's nice to see you, but obviously it's also a bummer." "They got me working outside. Lurker snuck up on me while I was hammering something. Luckily, they took the arm off quick. Saved my life." "What about Nick? (the group stays silent) He was always taking stupid risks... can't say I'm surprised. Poor guy." "Why is this kid being shitty?" "Really? You apologize to the guy you haven't even met yet, but you give me the cold shoulder." "Okay, that's Mike. He's kind of a dick when he's tired, but... like I said, he saved my life, so... I put up with that shit. Bill put him to work outside the wall with me." "Stop with all the sorry. It was my choice. Besides, he said once you were all caught, he'd let me rejoin the group, so... I'm glad you're here. I'm just joking. (…) I mean, he did say that, but I'm not happy about it. It's probably bullshit..." "Oh, yeah, right. Okay, so she's fuckin' weird. They found her sneaking around outside the camp covered in guts and just, like, the grossest shit. (…) " "No, I'm serious. Where else are you going to find food like we have? We've got the canned stuff, and now with the greenhouses coming along, we've got fresh food. The building's getting more and more secure all the time, mostly through forced labor, but that's only temporary. They've even got the solar panels working. When was the last time you had electricity, huh? (…) t's not a competition. I'm just saying, it's not as bad as you think. We're building something great here, guys. A real community. Bill is making it happen. Look, I've made mistakes, and he's forgiven me. (…) I know that, but I'm starting to see what this place offers... I didn't before, and with the accident... it's just that much more important now." "Listen, I'm really close to getting let back into the group. Once that happens, I can do a lot more to help you guys be more comfortable. (…) I just don't want you to mess things up for me. I've worked really hard to get to this point. Will you please just try not to cause any trouble? At least until they release me. Then, once I'm out, I could help you more. Maybe even help get you out." "Look, the fact is, Bill had every reason to kill me when I helped you guys... but he didn't. Obviously, I don't know what happened while you all were gone, but he's given me a second chance, and I know he'd do the same for you." "Yup. I was, uh, 'distracted. Just wasn't thinking, there's all kinds of noise, hammering and stuff. I saw its shadow; it moved in front of one of our work lamps down here and knocked it over. Couldn't even see for a second. That's when it got me. (…) I can't either, honestly. Mike killed the walker, then took off the arm really quick. Like he'd done it before. Took him two or three swings, but... still alive. I still think he cut it higher than he needed to, but what are you gonna do?" "No, it's okay. It's not my real name. On my first day in the U.S., I stopped and got a coffee, and the girl behind the counter asked me my name, so I told her, "It's Rajeev," then I just stood there while a guy yelled "Reggie" for five minutes. And that's when I thought, "I should really get out ahead of this." "Hey! Clem. Come on. Don't be like that. (…) How can I relax when she's walking around touching everything?" "Oh, uh, nothing. You know kids...they love...not listening. (…) Please...come on." "Oh, and just so you know, Bill yelled at me this morning for what you were doing last night. I'm not mad, but please, please, just listen to me today. I'm on, like, the thinnest ice with that guy." "Hey, so... is she gonna be okay? 'Cause what happened down there, that was straight fucked up. I don't want her freaking out and getting me in trouble." "Look, Bill's had it out for me ever since I helped those guys escape, so I gotta concentrate on my work. (pats Clementine's head) That was awkward. I won't do that again. I'm gonna go work now." "What... what did you do? These are only half-done! Are those live branches? Clementine, I asked you to help her!" "Yeah, Bill. Hey. (…) Look, Bill, they're new, and me with my arm, it's just not the eas-- I just ha-- I have one arm, so-- (…) Bill, please, just... ju-- (…) We'll get it done, just give us some more time, we jus-- (…) Bill, hey, look. I didn't have time, okay? I was... I was afraid, okay I wanted to do well. I know how close I am, I know, and I just wanted to do the best I could! (…) Get what? I... I..." "Thanks for the help, girls..." "No, no, no, no, please, Bill! No, no! No, no, please!" |
